I agree that everyone who's had a tape released knew it was going to be released. What I was getting at that not everyone who makes a tape wanted it put out there. I'm sure many have changed their minds after the money was offered though. I don't know if the "quality" of the tape is equal to the amount sold. I don't think Kim and Pam's tape were really that good in tems of "quality" but probably sold better than the much better done Shauna Sands and Amy Fisher. The recent tape done by that playboy model and the guy from SMALLVILLE may have been well done but no one knew who she was and probably didn't care so I would have to imagine it didn't set the porn world on fire no matter what the quality was.

In most cases I really don't think they do. If they did I would hope they put better effort making them. I don't see how anyone can look at some of those tapes and think "Yeah, they made this with the intent of putting it out there for everyone to see and propel them to stardom..." So many of those tapes look like they were just messing around. Kim and Pam's tape is mostly them doing normal goofy stuff that just happens to have some sex on it. If they were shooting that stuff with the intent of it being a sex tape and helping their career or getting a big payday there's no way they would've shot it that way.
I saw Tila's DVD last night. I'd place it in the top 3 celebrity sex tape I've ever seen. The lighting was very good and the camera angles weren't bad for a POV style movie. She could have a great career in the porn biz if she ever wants to make a go of it.

For the most part, the standard rule is that attractions like Paris et al, are either paid or comped. She is seen as a draw for the paying tourists from middle america that get to go home and brag to all their friends that they were partying with Paris Hilton in the club.

as much of a fan of Kristina and Charlie as I am, I'd have rather seen Tila in a scene with Kim K and Paris...would have made for good viewing on family night lol...

Even if she were to get something like $3000.00 per scene she'd have to do a lot of scenes to make any serious money. She's probably one of those celebs who gets paid thousands of dollars to appear at clubs and such. That's a much more legit gig for probably more money and she can do it much more often. If she did porn on a regular basis or became a "pornstar" most of the gigs she probably gets now would go away and she'd end up being able to only host events at strip clubs and things tied to adult entertainment and porn.
^It's kind of sad to think that less than a decade ago. A semi-celebrity like Tila could have made a killing in porn but today she can make living by appearing in clubs. Now that's some fuckked up shit. Then again people are paying money to go listen to Charlie Sheen talk about absolutely nothing of importance. What's is claim to fame? He starred in a very popular comedy show and was the highest paid TV star in history, does serious drugs, sleeps with pornstars and appears to be going a little more insane each day.

yeah but I don't even think Tila can command the appearance rates she would have years ago...if she started doing porn, than maybe that would change, since people would be initially interested in partying with a pseudo-celebrity who's a full on porn star...and Charlie is huge these days cause he's a raving loon lol...
I'm sure her price has gone down over the years but even if it's down to 2 or 3 grand an appearance that's pretty good money to just show up somewhere drink and have fun. Since the sex tape and her name getting mentioned in the news again I'm sure she got a bump in price. But at this point doing porn wouldn't be a good career choice for her. It works for someone like Amy Fisher because of what she did in her past not a whole lot of offers/oppurtunities are open to her.

I think she could make decent money shooting for a couple of studios but it would still be pocket money compared to what she can currently make from doing club appearances. Of course paying someone like her or any other realty star(I used the term loosely) to show up at your club is completely alien to me because I honestly can't understand why anyone would pay money because one of these people is there. Dennis Rodman apparently just shows up and drinks and spends most of the night seeing how many girls he can bang. But having a celeb be at the club apparently entices more people to come and for other people just hearing a club is going to be packed and the place to be makes them want to go too. It must work out for clubs because they do it all the time.When the club thing starts to dry up yeah, she might do another sex tape just to get her name back out there but I doubt she'll do porn full time. The thing most people don't get is that there's a whole network of gigs for minor celebs to do to make money from that most people never hear about. They do signings, club appearances, private parties, and some even do speaking engagements. There are thousands of very minor celebs who'll never have to do any sort of real job because they can keep getting that type of work. Even someone like Octo-mom can make money doing stuff if she wanted to without doing porn.
