I think I'm going to be able to make it to my first expo this weekend and I'd like to know a few things before I go. Sorry but I can't find any of this info at AEE.com

1) autographs - do we bring our own materials to sign or are they provided at the booths?

2) photographs - are members of the general public allowed to bring cameras inside?

3) how many people are expected at this convention?

4) do the girls signing get paid for giving autographs and taking pics with the fans?

5) is there anything else a first time visitor to the expo should be prepared for?

I always thought it was cool when fans had the girls signing their shirts. Makes it easy since you dont have to carry anything and if you get tired of the shirt just Ebay it and make some $$$.

One of my employees thought about walking around the show with a huge dildo hanging out of his pants and throwing it up on the signing stations and asking the girls to sign his cock.

Other things I recommend are:

1.Your own bag to carry stuff.
2.Folders (so the 8x10s dont get crushed)
3.Water for yourself, it gets hot temp wise I mean
4.Elastics (for all the posters they give away)
5. Camera(s)
6. Breath Mints/Gum you will talk alot to people in line/and or stars

Thank you very much. Especially about #3. I didn't know it got hot in there. I figured the place would be well ventilated. I have MS and me and higher temperatures don't get along real good. The right leg tends to start dragging and fatigue sets in when I overheat.

draw yourself out a map and keep a list of the stars you want to see. remember- some are only there for certain hours, so with a map and little list scrobbled out you can make sure you don't miss anyone you were looking out for.

Thanks for the tips. Looking forward to attending the show for the first time this weekend. Either Friday or Saturday. Any suggestions on which may be better?
Any tips on afterparties?

Well, I just got back from AEE which I attended yesterday and I just wanted to say thank you one more time to those of you who offered advice. It all came in handy. I'd like to add a few observations to this thread and maybe next year we'll have some other new people who will find it useful.

1) autographs - do we bring our own materials to sign or are they provided at the booths?

Sure they had tons of stuff to sign but they can and do run out sometimes. I missed out on getting Sammie Rhodes' autograph because Pink Visuals ran out of her pics. Also if you really want an autograph by a particular person, maybe bring the cover of a DVD with them on it so you KNOW you'll have something for them to sign. A backup sharpie came in handy too. Paris Gables couldn't find one so I offered her mine just so I could get her autograph.

2) photographs - are members of the general public allowed to bring cameras inside?

Yes of course but try to bring a better camera than what I did. It was funny, I was trying to get a pic with Adrianna Nicole and she recognized my camera as being the same kind as hers. I asked if hers took five seconds to go off too and got a laugh out of her. My camera is good for people who hold still. A lot of the starlets are very active in front of the camera and if I had a better camera, I might be able to share more than a bunch of blurs with people. Remember to bring extra batteries too.

Edit: Looks bad for a lot of the photos I took. Most are badly blurred. Note to self, get a real fucking camera or at least learn how to use the one you have before going to a place filled with half naked girls and cool celebrities. What an idiot.

3) how many people are expected at this convention?

There were easily hundreds if not thousands of people on the floor at the same time I was. It got a little irritating getting bumped into all the time but oh well.

4) do the girls signing get paid for giving autographs and taking pics with the fans?

Every single person male and female that I asked for an autograph or a picture graciously obliged and seemed happy to do it even though there had to be an epidemic of writer's cramp yesterday. Also, it may help to know what you want the star to write before you get there and not blurt something stupid out like I did with Sasha Grey. I could have thought of something better than what I asked her to sign and now I may have to wait until next year to get another chance.

5) is there anything else a first time visitor to the expo should be prepared for?

Phatbasey was absolutely right about bringing your own bag to carry your stuff in. They offer free shopping bags but I liked having my own satchel with all my stuff like manila folders, supplies, gum, and the things I brought with me to sign. I also got a collapsing art tube for all the posters. I may have looked like a dork with this torpedo looking thing on my back but my signed posters are in immaculate condition.

Pito05 was right about having a map and a plan of who you want to see and where they will be. Although there were some unexpected people there like Adrianna Nicole who I was thrilled to run into and some people who were supposed to be there that I never saw like Cody Lane.

Mike South said bring lots of money and he wasn't exaggerating. I would like to add, visit your bank before leaving for Vegas. The ATM's there have some pretty steep fees. I use B of A and even though they are all over the place in Vegas, they don't seem to be near the strip. I couldn't find any near my hotel.

Think I would get in trouble for asking someone to sign my dick in a box?

Hi!

I have a question, too:

Does something exist like an "exact plan" that shows which starlet is signing where and at which time?

Thx

AEE sent out a PDF file containing the info on where each girl was, what day and what time.

It defiantly helped!

Well, I'm always visiting her MySpace and commenting on her blogs and pics. When I said to make the autograph out to MrFuckinSunshine, she laughed and knew exactly who I was. I said to write something like "quit spamming my page". What I should have asked her to write since we are both Raymond Watts fans was, "To my fellow Hamerican, Find it, fuck it, forget it". It would have been even better if we could have taken a picture recreating the still from "Justine" starring Jack Palance that I use as an avatar. That would have been THE SHIT! Since the gears were turning a little slow that day, it will have to wait until next time. Erotica LA maybe?
