Today we were searching for some online reviews of "The Metrosexual" to link to our upcoming reviews page. We did find some nice reviews, but..... we also found a a few pirate sites that has posted "The Metrosexual" as one of the daily featured free adult DVD downloads. It appeared that we were in some pretty elite company being posted amongst some of the top companies in the world. I don't know if I should be flattered or really pissed off! It is not easy for a newer company like TKP to compete in an already crowded and dropping DVD marketplace. We certainly work hard at what we do and could use all the revenue that we can fairly and honestly earn. What do you think? Should I notify the owners of the file sharing sites where the movie is stored? Or should we take the free publicity and let the free download happen? You make the call. What would you do?

I honestly don't know what to suggest, but from what I've seen, everything gets pirated. That's no knock. The title might be well worth them doing it, but whenever I search a movie or something like that, I can't tell you how many search results are torrent files or illegal sites. It's a lot though.

Honestly I'd be pissed and tell them to take it down. People who are stealing movies aren't providing income to you nor helping to pay for your next product. If they wanted to work out a deal where they paid you to have it, that's different.

Unless they get a letter from your lawyer, they won't be taking it down and even if you send them a formal complaint, they probably still won't. The cost of Cease and desist letters is the part of the cost of doing business and in most cases, it's the best you can do.
