As far as I know, if this manuscript is published, it'll be the first of its kind. I'm very concerned about authenticity, and that it ring true to industry insiders. (Incidentally, the male love interest is a cop, and I already have a couple technical advisers on that end.) I've learned a lot here at ADT and in personal correspondence with a few ladies, but I really need a few people I can turn to for quick technical advice. You know, the mundane details of a shoot. When do you get paid? How are you booked? What are the typical working conditions? Stuff like that. I don't think topics at ADT are the appropriate venue for me to gather research for this book, but I would sure LOVE to have the participation of anybody that wants to lend me a hand. Basically, when I finish a chapter, I'd like to be able to do some fact-checking. I wouldn't request that anybody actually read the manuscript (unless you want to), but just answer questions about pesky little details. It's the details that make a story authentic. So... If/when the publishing world has the balls to print my work, you'll each be personally thanked in the acknowledgments. Lastly, if anybody wants to send me their own story about how they reconciled their love life with their porn work, I'd be eternally grateful. I know that each person has his/her unique lifestyle, so the more variety I get on this, the better. I hope to hear from some of you. I'll make a mailing list for sending out my questions. I'll only respond individually (it's nobody else's business how you answer my question), and I will NEVER send anything else (stupid forwards, announcements, bullshit like that) to the list.
