Adult DVD Marketplace has some really great prices.

BUT:

1. How reputable are they?

2. Is shipping/delivery fast/accurate?

3. Are the DVD's brand new? Or have they been previously viewed or used?

Any hitches I should be aware of?

Many comments appreciated!

Well, it's all third party retail. So the site ain't actually responsible for product. Meaning quality and shipping issues depend on which seller you're dealing with.

If there are any problems, you have to take it up with the seller. Which could end up being some kind of time-consuming rigmarole.

The site says that in extreme cases when no resolution to a dispute can be reached, the site itself will step in and issue a full refund. But who decides what's an extreme case? And who knows how long that would take?

All that said, I've tried a third party retailer a couple times in the past, and I didn't have any problems. I just made sure to choose sellers that had really high ratings.

hi Ejak, fyi i purchase some of my dvd's in there, prices are good, shipping is ok there are new dvd's as well as used one you must sign to buy and you can sell there too.
the answers to your BUTS are:

1: since there are many vendors there i cannot say how reputable they are, but you can check their profile, most of them are top of the line.
2: all depend where are you located and where the vendor is, i live in cali so i must of the time get my dvd's from a co. from around here.
3:most of the prices are for brand new dvd's, if the have a used one it clearly will state that, let me tell you used dvd price are pretty good too.

as i said check the vendor profile, if you see any rare thing you can go for the next one for few cents more. i hope this would help you..

Hi Ejac, I've used ADM on a somewhat regular basis over the past two years and my experiences have been good for the most part. You really have to pay attention to the feedback, it gives you a good idea of how reliable the seller is.

1. ADM itself is a very good place to buy from but keep in mind that does not mean that your transaction will always go smoothly. And that is to no fault of ADM, but rather the seller themselves. ADM is simply the ends to a means and it is incumbent upon the individual seller to live up to their word.

2. Take into account your location in relation to the location of the seller when judging the delivery speed and accuracy. I live in California and only order from Globalflix and AllDelight because they are also located in California. That being said, AllDelight seems to take a bit longer in shipping than Globalflix but it fluctuates. Patience is a virtue, it sometimes can take a week or so to get your order. If the seller is cross country, expect longer times.

3. The DVD's are supposed to be brand new unless otherwise noted. The seller does have to state the condition of the DVD.I've had one defective disc out of the 20 or so titles that I've ordered from ADM and I will never buy from that seller again. I would be cautious of sellers with a lot of negative feedback of course.

Bottom line, use at your discretion. Personally, I recommend giving ADM a shot, you can really find some great deals there. But as previously stated, your shipping times can vary and some of the sellers can be pretty shady. Stick with the highest rated sellers. Hope that helps, and as always, be safe and trust your instincts.

Very few problems with anybody on ADM, and if there are repeated problems with a seller they don't seem to be afraid to give the seller the boot. They also weren't afraid to ask questions if there was a problem to see what the heck was going on. Check feedback on sellers, check comments on the DVDs, and remember that everything is normally shipped media mail, which might take a couple weeks to get to you.

Some sellers will upgrade to first class or priority, and most of them say if they will. Even if it's not stated as being first class shipping, I've found that most sellers do ship single disc orders first class because it's often a little cheaper (it used to be $1.42 for media mail compared to $1.29 for first class shipping on many single DVD shipments).

Overall, ADM is one of the first places I check when it comes to buying DVDs. Many times they're quite a bit cheaper, but I always balance the price difference with how long I'm willing to wait for the title.

I've been a regular on the Marketplace for a while and so far I haven't encountered any problems. I've actually found alot of great stuff for very low prices as well as some nice used titles that I wasn't able to find anywhere else.

I am quite happy with them. Thursday evening I ordered a few movies (through them with FilthyDVDs) and the complete order was here with yesterday's mail. Other experiences have been similar. Check the feedback on the seller before clicking "order" and use your judgment, most of them do a good job from what I've seen/

Ejac,

I'm a new buyer / seller on adultdvdmarketplace... so hopefully you won't judge too harshly on low feedback ratings. I agree that any feedback should be positive though.

I have sold 6 dvds there now & haven't had any complaints. Although, I admit I goofed on the first sale. Talk about looking like a jerk... me being the seller, I had to ship the purchased dvd within 2 days. However, I didn't check my account & my spam filter deleted the Sold Ship Now email, so I didn't notice the sale for 2 weeks ! I guess the buyer wasn't in a hurry, because I didn't get an email from him or the higherups @ adultdvdmarketplace. I sent him a total of 3 dvds to make up for the error.

Most sellers probably won't do that though. I did get positive feedback from him. I wonder what type of feeback he would have left if I would have just shipped him the one dvd.

Also, to protect myself, I've been keeping the USPS receipts just in case someone has a question of when I shipped their dvd(s).

Please feel free to check out my listings under my seller id: xyz1406

Granted, they are from my personal collection so I don't have a lot, but I feel the pricing I have set is fair.

I look at it this way... It's a lot less time consuming then trying to deal with the new restrictions on eBay & I've been getting more $ than I could if I sold them to useddvdempire.com. For me, it's a win-win situation.
