My newest favorite is Dana Duval, and I'm anxiously awaiting more releases with her. Other recent favorites include Brianna Love, Courtney Simpson, Montana Rae, Sierra Sinn, and Alicia Angel. While the XRentDVD list might be indicative of what is selling (at that particular website), I think a more accurate representation of the true status quo of the talent pool is to surf the modeling agencies. From what I can see, there are still far more petite girls than "thick". Don't take Naomi, Jessica Sweet, Avy Scott, Gianna, Sunny Lane, and Sara Stone away from me. I've already lost Riley Mason and Lexi Belle to weight loss.

I kid, I kid. I'm just saying that for every Brandy Taylore there still seems to be four Courtney Simpsons. As for what you've said about the type of product being made, I understand what you mean. It seems as if a great ass in porn now seems to be what great breasts used to be. So, I am seeing far more non-WCP/Evasive Angles movies catered to buttmen than I used to, as evident in the XRent list, but we're mostly seeing the same girls over and over again as opposed to some sort of phenomenon where there are all of sudden more thick-bodied girls than petite. And if some of the petite girls are starting to keep a little bit of fat on, good for them.

It's getting hazy and I think this may be the big one.

I thought I saw the terms "thick women", and "too many", in the same sentence.

Thirty three years I've been watching porn, 33 years. Culling through all the waifish girls that look like boys, "tits on a stick models", worn out and haggard stripper types, drug chicks, and fat farm flabbies, all in attempt to find, a), women I like, and b.) women who look like real women. Voluptuous and curvy and healthy.

Fifteen years ago, along comes Stagliano and it seemed like my prayers had been answered. He brought us people like Krysti Lynn, Missy, Jasper and Christy Parks , white girls who were beautiful AND a little meatier than the standard model types that had been populating porn. And he revitalized the careers of people like Shanna McCullough and Nina Hartley who were by this time, 30-something WOMEN with curves who still had a lot to offer porn and a fan base waiting to be discovered. And for a long time Stagliano, along with an assist from Rodney Moore, carried the porn banner for all of us who loved female booty, or who liked our women thicker or more non-traditionally attractive.

But it was only within the past three to four years when James Alexander at WCP and T.T. Boy at Evasive started to really develop and aim at a "big butt", or "thick chick" market, generally along ethnic and cultural, (black\latin), lines, that it really started to make a mark in the industry. But even with the success of WCP and Evasive, the porn girl they were employing and featuring, were still for the most part out of the mainstream, and not being used too much anywhere else in porn. So this, "big butt" fetish, was still pretty much that, an ethnic fetish with some followers of Buttman in their midst. The rest of porn was still the standard thin, model type porn girl. Only now, these skinny porn girls were starting to bolt on fake tits. And we were just starting to see the appearance of the Euro girls in American porn, girls who were for the most part, all arms and legs, elbows and knees. Not all, but generally.

At this same time, a few things happened to really kick the booty-loving machine out of just the ethnic realm, and into widespread porn acceptance:

1.) The emergence and success of Ryan Conner . Ryan was blonde, beautiful, and slightly older than the standard porn girl. She had a a superbly fit and toned dancer's body, and above all she had an absolutely specatacular, big, bubble ass. And she was probably the first girl since the late Krysti Lynn to be marketed for her larger than normal ass. And since she was so fit in all other aspects of her body, she was not under any pressure to lose weight in her ass or elsewhere. Ryan Conner bootyliscious body is probably the bridge between Nina Hartley's of 20 years ago, and Naomi's of today. Lean and lithe, with a spectacular ass that looks like it has been stolen from someone else.

2.) Stagliano's "Buttman" protege, Jules Jordan arrived on the scene. And Jordan brought the world "Ass Worship" , the very stylized and wildly successful butt-centric series that featured stunning women, mostly white. but with the occasional asian, black, or latin woman in the mix, with almost all having asses that were larger than was typical for mainstream porn. And these "phat" asses were the whole point. They were celebrated, glorified, objectified and presented in a way that even Stagliano hadn't done. NOW, it was even cool for white actresses to have a big ol' butt. And this Jordan "Ass Worship" phenomenon opened the door. Directors outside of Evil Angel, where Stagliano and Jordan were, were now free to fullfill their own big booty ambitions and booty lovers got great product from people like Thom Zupko, Van Styles Justin Slayer, Bryan Xin, Terry Burton and Lee G.

3.) The unprecedented phenomenon that is Katja Kassin .

When beauty, talent and ambition, meet up with opportunity, at the exact right moment and place, you get Katja Kassin . Within two years after her initial appearance in American porn, Katja was arguably the most popular porn girl in the world, not named J.J. She was enthusiastic, she was hard working, she had a sparkling personality, AND SHE DIDN'T LOOK ANYTHING LIKE the leading porn ladies of the time, or that had gone before her. She was European. She was short. She was thick. She had smallish breasts. And God knows she had a big butt. All the things that had worked against mainstream porn success for a girl before, were now embodied in the biggest star in gonzo porn.

And the big butt fanatics went wild. And that really opened the door and made it possible for women of all shapes and sizes to have a viable career in gonzo porn.

And that has brought us to where we are today. Yes, over the past three years or so, there has been an explosion of product catering to the fan of big butts and thicker women. But as I go through the porn emporiums that I habit, I don't see it coming at the expense of other porn types of fetishes or perspectives. And as Kelly points out, it has generally been the same actresses making the rounds of all the porn houses, making their big booty themed flicks. Frankly, as a big booty lover, I'm worried because in the past six months or so, there really hasn't been too many NEW big booty girls coming along. A lot of the people that are being advertised and passed off to us as "thick", or "big booty", aren't that at all. This "thick" phenomenon of the past couple of years, may be running it's course, as porn continues to change.

And even though there are a gazillion of us men out here who love thick, plush women, especially those with bigger butts, most women, especially white women are still ambivalent and self-conscious about these physical aspects. Yes, J-Lo, Beyonce and even Britney Spears and Kelly Clarkson have made big bootys cool recently, but if you polled most women, they still say they'd rather be smaller. And most still don't want to be specifically identified by, or associated with, their ass.

And for all the big booty flicks out there, porn producers, agents, managers, and the industry in general still exerts a certain amount of pressure on porn girls to conform to a more typical porn standard. So you always have porn girls losing weight to stay in porn.

I wouldn't worry too much.

Right now the most popular porn girl in this forum and maybe in gonzo seems to be Hillary Scott who would have to eat supersized for a million years just to get to thin. If she and Hailey Young and other girls like that are more your speed, don't fret, porn has got lots of 'em.

Frankly I would rather watch average size girls(who you title thick) than thinned out crack girls. I don't know. Plus once you meet them they are all much smaller than they seem on film.
