Tomorrow I'll post to close the poll, and after that, all the votes will be counted and the Top 100 Performers of all-time, as voted by ADT members, will be revealed.

No spoilers but as I start to tally some of the votes so far, there are still a lot of tight contests - not only for 1st place but for Top 10/Top 20/Top 50 etc - so everyone's vote is going to count!

Placings were calculated by number of individual nominations - and those who were tied on number of nominations were decided on "points" from your 1-10 rankings (1st = 10pts; 2nd = 9pts; etc)

In the event of ties on nominations AND points, those with a 1st-place pick won the higher placing. (i.e. a star with 10pts +1pt finished higher than a star with 6pts + 5pts)

Quite nicely, the lowest benchmark to reach the final list was 1 nomination + 10 points - so that means everyone who sent an eligible vote will have at least their #1 pick in the final line-up!

After weeks of voting, and sorting the final list by all of the scoring criteria, there was no separating any of this beautifully diverse and varied range of 15 performers from past and present - including an AVN Performer of the Year winner, and quite possibly a future one.

From five different countries, with their work collectively spanning six decades of the industry - this worked out to be a very fitting way to begin this All-Time list.

Each one of them is someone's favourite porn star - as all of these Stars made the final list thanks to a 1st place from an ADT member.

It was also a coincidence that both have the same birthdate, started & got out of the business at around the same time and have approximately the same number of credits.

Given the amount of people on this forum, the number that voted was a bit paltry. It would be great to see something like this done at a convention. To prevent ballot stuffing do something like one vote with each admission.

I agree with you there: given the position of Adriana Chechik, Cadence Lux, Kenna James, India Summer, Lexi Belle, Dani Daniels and Julia Ann - makes me think that there's a ton of underrated great adult performers who are at the top but who are so good at avoiding drama or controversy among other things;that they are seemingly overlooked due to not being a squeaky wheel for lack of a better phrase.

Not anyone's fault but there wasn't enough participation to validate these results. Probably need at least 100 voters, and for people to name their top 20 instead of top 10. This gets more votes on the board and also solves the issue many had with narrowing their list to just 10 names.

Sorry to Jack and anyone who wanted to see a complete countdown but it was going to take months and with a small sample size there really isn't any validity to the rankings outside the top 25 or so. The top 25 probably stays mostly the same but the exact order, who knows. I also was confused at the results of the countdown or perhaps the scoring process. For example, by my count Jayden James and Isis Love scored 5 and 4 points respectively, they needed to get 9 points to reach the top 100, so I'm not sure how they got there on Jack's list.

You are correct in saying that more participation would have added more heft to the results.

However a combination of more participation AND limiting the choices to a Top 5 would have been even better. The more choices people have (like your Top 20 suggestion) in these kinds of exercises, the more it can dilute the end results. Top 5 would "ensure" people's lists were all killer no filler and carve out more accurately who a winner was.

Of course the original poster had no power over participation though and it's really a shame that so few people participated (maybe it was timing, right before and during a holiday?)

All in all I think it was a nice idea and I hope that the appropriation of the results by others doesn't dissuade the original poster or other posters from embarking on a similar exercise.

I also think it's a matter of individual tastes being that different. I remember Annika Albrite saying that she was very self-conscious (in a negative way) about her butt before she got into porn. When she got into it, it became a major source of her appeal for her fans. One of the interesting things is that porn taste in women has been way more variable and broader than it is in mainstream media except, perhaps, when it comes to race.
I actually thought the most interesting thing was Jack's countdown with his summaries of the different performers' appeal and career in adult movies. Hopefully, we didn't piss him off.

Most importantly, would you have rather let the countdown go to completion (months), and then me or someone else mention that the voting/scoring was not tallied correctly? The results I posted look a lot different than Jack's for the 80-100 segment. If they were somewhat similar, I probably would have just waited it out instead of "stealing the thunder". What is the point of a grand countdown if the votes probably weren't counted/scored correctly?

I hadn't abandoned this Poll: after getting as far as #83 in the results, a Mod issued me with a 7-day ban for posting it in the wrong forum. (Mods, I just wanted the results to be in a separate topic from the voting topic - but I apologise nonetheless.)

I see that since my ban was issued, someone has made the decision to try and post the full results, all in a oner, which frankly is rather disappointing. I thought it pretty much went without saying that the guy who organised the Poll, designed the scoring system, put quite a lot of effort into counting and ranking the final 100, and had begun to research and write-up each worthy winner, would be the one who would reveal the results. But obviously someone didn't take that as "read".

What's more of a disappointment is that his version of the "results" were a very basic approximation, done in what seems to be a very lazy and hasty "shorthand" manner and littered with errors. Before opening the poll I posted quite clear criteria for eligible votes, and before revealing the results I posted very clearly the process was used to get the fairest possible results. Results I checked continually throughout voting, and triple checked before beginning the countdown - with no errors whatsoever. So for that person to try and spoil the entire Poll, and then even go on to claim that I had probably not even counted the votes correctly, is quite insulting.

Whilst banned, I was thinking of ignoring the interruption and continuing the countdown but need to be honest and say I think the moment has probably gone.
