Was just wondering if anybody had any opinions on the top 3 John Leslie features. No gonzo stuff, please.
My Top 3:
Nightshift Nurses (1987)
Dog Walker (1994)
Brianna Love: Her Fine Sexy Self (2007)
Will look forward to hearing everybody's pics.

For me it would be Chameleons, Dog Walker and Fresh Meat . . . probably in that order. I'm not wild about his earlier VCA features - admittedly I haven't seen all of them - but would put these three in the top ten adult films of the last twenty years.

I have been hearing more and more about Fresh Meat. Was it actually a full fledged feature or simply a light gonzo feature like almost all of his post-Dog Walker stuff? The trailer for it on the "Dog Walker" trailer makes it look promising, but again it's just a trailer.

It's definately a feature, albeit a very experimental one.

I'd say:
Chameleons: Not A Sequel
Dog Walker
Fresh Meat

I'm going to take shit for this but I have to call them as I see them -
I will nominate 1989's Chameleon starring Tori Welles as it is an absolute classic. Beyond that, I am in trouble as I have no other titles to nominate. I have sampled so many movies directed by JL and have been dissapointed time and time again. He has a unique style, which should elicit pride. Yet, IMHO that style includes a shaky camera shooting into the light, with bad story development with poor editing choices.
I sifted through the titles of iafd.com's 118 titles directed by JL and I cannot come up with another title to put second. I thought for sure tha Naomi...There's Only One would be first on my list, yet I found the camerwork poor and the choice to not have Naomi perform anal to be confusing.
Now, there is no one on this green and blue planet who respects John Leslie as an actor more than I. In fact, I believe John could easily been an award winning mainstream actor. On the list of the great actors in porn, John Leslie is at the very top. That is why I am so continually frustrated by his directorial efforts. I try and try but continue to be dissapointed. In fact, I've tried four highly recommended versions of "the Voyeur" and three of "Fresh Meat" and just do not find anything that I would want to watch again. I am very glad there are people out there that enjoy JL's directorial style and I sure wish I were one of them.

BF have you seen Chameleons: Not the Sequel or Dog Walker? The issues you bring up (which don't bother me as much) happen in Leslie's gonzo but these are features (although Dog Walker is a very strange feature). Chameleons in particular has some great scenes between Rocco and Ashlyn Gere and Deirde Holland.
The first Fresh Meat is also very odd, not at all like the later gonzo entries.

^saw "Dog Walker" - didn't care for it. Have not watched C:NTS -
Also, I just realized that the topic asked for his topp three FEATURES, not gonzo or all sex (not that it changes anything).

Check out Chameleons: Not the Sequel, I think it is widely considered superior to Chameleon, so if you like that one...
