Her performances are certainly hot if you like Xtreme porn. I thought she looked OK based on her photographs, but found her much more attractive in person.
She has an amazing smile and a real contagious energy about her. She clearly loves intense sex and esp. anal, and I can't seem to get past her splendid round ass. I think she's a charm. I do know some porn fans don't go for the European accents, but they really get to me.
Perhaps Katja comes across with too much intelligence or firmly defined ease in her performances -- maybe you like the "deer in the headlights" little twiggy waif girls? I mean, that's cool, too. I just think she's very real, and "real" is where it's at for me. (Quotation marks gratuitous, no semantic arguments please!)
Katja was my favorite performer of 2003. Of course that's easy with such an awesome butt but she also always puts out a great perfomance especially her interracial scenes.

I'm going to throw some support out to future on this one. Even though he did comment on her looks I don't think he was trying to be disrespectful towards her, he simply wanted to know what all the fuss is about. If he attacked her or made other derogatory comments then locking the thread would probably be a good idea.
I have proposed these types of questions before about numerous girls that everybody just loves that I find not to my liking. Sometimes it's cool to hear why guys like certain girls (great ass, hot scenes, etc.) and that's all future was doing, IMO.

Thank you. At least someone understood what I was trying to say. I was just surprised when I saw her, I think it was UnNatural Sex 10, to find out that I was not the least bit attracted to her, after everyone said how hot she was. Maybe this wasnt her best movie and I would think differently of her in another light, its happened before. Thats all.
I'm gonna toss some support out there, too. I haven't seen this particular performer in person or on video, so I don't have an opinion. I don't see the big deal in asking (even if in an abrupt way) why others find someone hot that you don't think is all that. I have met other performers, though, and wondered (very quietly, to myself) "no way man?!? her?!", and then discovered that she's an ultra-performer, one of the favorites, the super hotties. I don't pretend to understand, I just accept it. Just like I accepted my day in the sun :) I didn't understand that, either. "me? you've got to be kidding?"
I do know, for certain, that in the online world the performer who chats, participates in forums, returns emails and, in general, acts like a real person, will get a large, active, and marvelous fan base. Personality and accessability can go a long way towards making a moderately above average performer into a favorite.
I can understand what the original poster was getting at. There's another actress (don't ask me who) that gets a lot of attention in threads here on ADT, and people rave about her a lot, and had said that her performance in a certain gonzo film was her best (out of ~70 films). So I rented it a few months ago, expecting to see something incredible.
Basically I was underwhelmed. The entire scene she was completely silent, did whatever the two actors wanted, whenever they wanted it and for however long they wanted. She didn't for one minute look like she enjoyed anything that she was doing; she looked like she would have been just as happy doing her grocery shopping, or cleaning her apartment. Now, she was able to do whatever was required of her, in whatever position, and she didn't look like she was uncomfortable with anything.
And people here on ADT have recently posted that this is their favorite scene of hers. I'm completely puzzled. And I'm not knocking anyone's opinion. It's just that there are other actresses out there who can give the impression of enjoying what they are doing, that they like sex, and are happy to be in front of the camera.
I have to say that the actress above is one of the prettier ones, and really looks lovely when she has makeup on, and is on a boxcover. I suppose that has a big influence on what fans think. Though I'm not aware of her posting here on ADT or having a Yahoo group, I would agree with Kimi that those sorts of things go a long way to explaining the appeal of some stars, and why they have such loyal fans.
For what it's worth, there are 3-4 male actors whom I can't figure out why anyone hires them, they are so lifeless on screen; when I see them I want to hit the fast forward button.
Renee--I know exactly who you're talking about. And yes, that scene is one of my favorites of hers--but ultimately I can't argue with your interpretation. I agree with it, although I can't exactly reconcile why I like her anyway. :)
Is this scene with Brandon Iron and Manuel Ferrara? If it's what I think it is, I would disagree with Renee -- the girl really got off bigtime, and that's what made it hot.
What I don't understand is why people feel the need to say things along these lines. Even if Katja didn't post here (and she does), it's not nice. That's like saying "gee, that's the ugliest baby I've ever seen" -- in front of its parent. Is that something you'd say directly to her? "Katja, you're one of the least attractive girls I've ever seen, period. Can you explain to me why other think you're popular?"
Saying no disrespect is meant does not change things -- it's like saying, "I didn't mean to kill you."
Speaking in general terms, future does have a decent question as long as it's asked right and with some tact. It's deleted now, so I'm guessing it was "what do people see in katja?". Personally, I love her ass and think she does a fantastic job in front of the camera. She was also very personable and intelligent to talk to when I met her in Vegas. As to what might turn some people off about her, she does play to the camera a bit, but IMHO she's done it in a good way that enhanced the scene rather than focusing on it so much that it dragged the scene down.
