I love my g/f, and think she's beautiful. There's just one thing. While she might be an 8 right now, she could be a perfect 10 if she'd lose about 10-15 pounds. (sound of me ducking from the objects being thrown)
Is there any way to bring up the topic without really making her feel bad? I tried getting her to start exercising with me when I go, but she didn't want to. This isn't a huge deal, but I've noticed that I'm looking a lot more at and fantasizing more about thin girls lately. It's beginning to affect my interest in sex, and that's really getting both of us down (although she doesn't know why). Any comments are welcome.

No, I don't think there is a way you can tell her that without making her feel bad. I'm sure she knows what you're thinking even if you're not saying it.
Instead tell her how beautiful she is - then she'll enjoy the compliments and want more (that's better incentive.)
Also make eating right easier. Go out to healthy places for meals - or cook healthy at home. Can you get her to exercise in fun ways - like playing frisbee? or taking walks? that would beat suggesting that she go to the gym.
Setting the example is always good too. Are you healthy and fit?
It's a very difficult situation because women are expected to fit standards that our bodies don't really want to meet. And what's worse is the double standard - it's ok for a guy to have 20 extra pounds hanging around, but we women can't be a few pounds off our mark. I won't throw anything, but I hope you're not using that double standard

Man, you either love that woman or you don´t. When you do, just accept these extra pounds. The funny thing is that if you´d leave her because of her extra pounds, she´ll most probably loose them (if she loves you), due to being unhappy.
If I compare that with me, I´m so deeply in love at the moment that the girl could weigh these 15 pounds extra and I wouldn´t care a damn. Perhaps my chances to get a date with her would increase, though...
Hey Steph: I´m 1.76 meters and weigh 138 pounds do you think thats o.k.? (-;

As tough as it is, you've got to be honest with her. My wife isn't too thin either, but I love her with all my heart. She's just recently started to diet and exercise and it has helped our relationship. Even if she wouldn't have started to lose weight it wouldn't have mattered that much. It's what's on the inside that counts. If you aren't open with her about your feelings about her weight, it's going to affect your relationship even more, since it's already having an effect. Don't wait until it gets too far gone and it comes out sounding hurtful. Good luck!

I can't judge a man by his body (especially when using the metric system ) But judging by what you say, you in love with one lucky woman.

You didn't mention how long you had been together, or her height (she must be pretty small if 10 lbs. is enough to turn you off).
My guess is your attention is already starting to wane, and you're trying to turn it around & make it her fault.

Your g/f is an 8? Most men would chew their right arms off if their gals were a 6 :-).

i have to admit, what dumbblonde said sounds like it might be true. yes, i do realize that physical attraction is a must for a healthy and sexual relationship, just make sure that you are still interested in her, regardless of her weight. you will find that most of us here are really laid back and won't be throwing any bricks at your head for overweight comments (now slashing i cant comment on, he he he, j/k), but we will tell it like it is. IF you still love her regardless of her weight, AND if she is open to discussion about stuff, talk about getting HEALTHY, not losing weight. telling a woman that she needs to diet and you are asking for a major war (hell hath no fury like a women told she is oveweight) and make her a part of your active like. get a dog, join a coed softball team, go for long romantic walks, etc. or just have lots of sex--that always works up a sweat! but, if this girl is a keeper forever, look at her mom and see what her build is. if your gf has struggled with her weight before keep in mind that she may get bigger and perhaps it is best to decide how you feel about that and if you can handle that BEFORE the "m" word comes into play rather than 15 yrs and three kids later. just my opinion, though. good luck!

Jenna, because I'm a virgin, I'm not sure if I could handle it, but I'd be willing to die trying.

I'm in a similar situation that Bobworth is in, except it is more than 10-15 lbs., more like 60-70 lbs. She's been working out for about 3 or 4 months now,and maybe has lost a little like 10-15 lbs. I'm just not sure she can keep it off when she gets to a trim figure.
I love my girlfriend and all but I can't help myself from checking out all the other beautiful women in the world and wondering what it would be like to be with some of them. I won't ever cheat on her, but I feel like I'm missing out on some other nice women. Any other suggestions?

If your gf has lost 10 - 15 lbs in the last 3 - 4 months, be happy! My wife is in about the same situation as your gf. She has been working on losing weight and starting seeing a nutritionist. The most they want her to lose is 1 - 2 lbs per week. Any more than that and they say it comes back too easy and it gets too hard on the body. If she's losing 10 - 15 lbs in 3 - 4 months, if it's consistant, you'll have somebody who has a healthier body that has a better chance of staying that way!
