Hey ppl, Ive written a couple of reviews in the last month or so and when ive tried to post them by clicking on all the normal icons its come up with a reveiw but all fields are blank or one time it went back to the first page- terms and condition of entry to site. This is annoying caus it takes time to write em and i like to contribute. Any ideas. Also i notice some of your reveiws are lookin pretty flash with screen shots etc. Have you written these in HTML then pasted it into the reveiw space or is it harder than than.

I can't answer all of your problems on posting, but perhaps some of them.
I always write the few reviews I have made on the side, using HTML formats and then paste them into the dialogue box for the reviews.
In the dialogue box, you have approx a 20 minute window to post or it recycles. If you click on the "Preview" button below, it will refresh the 20 minute time window - otherwise you can get cycled out.
Writing on the side for long postings (and reviews) and then pasting in works very well for me. This is also true for posting in the forum.
I appreciate very well the time factor in writing reviews and look forward to reading some from you.
Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, is a life saver when using Word.
I have like 70 something reviews, a lot that need to be finished, and some that are being reworded to take out sentence fragments, and the like, to make them more cohesive.
The first few reviews I did, I didn't think of keyboard shortcuts.

the only problems i'm aware of are with webtv. the entrance page comes up every 24 hours, so that could interrupt posting a review. i don't know why you would get blank fields. please try to submit one all the way thru, even if just a test review so we can see what's going on. also let me know what browser & operating system you are using.
it's easier to write in word pad or some other program and paste it in. then if there are any problems you still have a copy.

JZA, Steph's advice is a good one and what I think most of us use to avoid problems:
Also, do you run a firewall? If so, this could be your issue. I had a problem using Norton Internet Security and interacting with ADT. If checked the Norton Option for Privacy Protection , it messed me up when posting. Once I cleared the option, I was OK.
I don't know precisely what this option is doing, but I would bet it has to do with certain referrer types of info as well as certain cookie handling.
Other people have spoken to your techinical problems already, and I've never had them like your describing, so I don't know that I can help much.
I can speak to your other question though. My reviews are hand coded in HTML in WordPad. They are lengthy and detailed and I write them over several days time. When I'm ready to submit, I CTRL-C the review from word pad and then CTRL-V it into the review submission window. Then I preview it, look at it, hit the back button, and repeat the procedure a couple times until I've worked the final kinks out. The vid-cap aspect of the reviews is a whole different (and additional) procdure, but if your interested to know how _I_ do it--although it may not be the easiest way, drop me an email at:

Geez, another perfectionist...
I've done that so many times, where the review looks good and ready to be posted, but then I notice little grammatical errors and some wierd wording, which make me go back and make changes before I submit.
One time I went back so many times and then foward, that the review screen went blank, then I had to go back and redo all of those changes, now that sucked.

Oh, I've long since learned my lesson there. :) I don't edit my review in the web window. I edit it in my wordpad text file and then copy and paste it in all over again. That way there's no way I'll lose the changes I made. It's a couple more keystrokes, but I've gotten burned too many times when I composed lengthy writings with other apps like webmail, etc.
