Shylock Spieglergirls.com "Patron of the Tarts" 2431 Posts 3/03	Posted - Feb 2 2019 : 2:15AM I'm having trouble uploading pics. When I try to upload a a pic I follow the same method as always: 1. Click Upload Image 2. Click on Choose File 3. Next I choose a pic from my laptop 4. Click Upload 5. Copy/paste the code from the small popup page to my forum post But when I Preview the post there is no picture - only the code. EXAMPLE: Any suggestions??? That legacy crap was limiting our ability to transition to a modern, mobile-first responsive design. Now we can move forward. [Link]

Below I have posted my signature in the identical manner that I posted it in my first post in this thread but the signature (obviously) doesn't appear the same. PLEASE ADVISE. I am away for a few days starting in about an hour. I changed the way posts are processed and stored recently and it appears I'm not handling a carriage return + linefeed properly. (PCs use CR+LF when the enter key is pressed. The rest of the world uses just a LF. I think the problem is in the code that handles this situation.) [Link]

lex von v Senior Member 2511 Posts 12/12	Posted - Feb 18 2019 : 8:26AM ^^ I'm probably telling you things you already know, but it's a bit more complicated: Windows (and DOS) uses CR/LF, Unix (and Linux) uses LF, and Mac uses(used?) CR to delimit lines. Mobile: as Android is a Linux derivative, LF also here. Not sure about iOS, though. Various internet standards (E-Mail, HTTP, ...) require lines in headers to be delimited by CR/LF (this does not affect HTML, where everything goes). So a HTTP POST request looks like this (should always be like this) POST /forum/post.asp HTTP/1.1<CR/LF> <various other headers, each followed by CR/LF> method=Reply&topic_id=223135&...... [Link]
