Flash's review makes this sound pretty awesome. Script originally written by Gielgud for Peter de Rome! Love how softcore/hardcore and mainstream use to crossover artistically and how nonchalantly radical many gay figures of the past were.
I see this played the BFI's LGBT's film fest. Maybe they will release it sometime.

Wow, I'm glad to see that the NakedSword Film Works reviews I've been writing are being read. I was worried since they are being published on "The Other Side of Adult DVD Talk."
BlackSix, I think BFI has released Trouser Bar on one of their Boys on Film volumes. I haven't seen them yet but I picked up BFI's two Peter de Rome releases.
At the time I screened Trouser Bar and wrote the review I didn't know that Peter de Rome really liked the movies Kristin Bjorn is making. I found that out when I saw Ethan Reid's documentary Peter de Rome: Grandfather of Gay Porn, where de Rome talks with Bjorn and de Rome also talks about Trouser Bar. So, it is awesome that Bjorn directed Trouser Bar.

I watched a few of the Naked Sword Filmworks titles. Hated them all except for DOORS CUT DOWN, which was really excellent. Been curious about TROUSER BAR though...

I don't find it fair to gay readers for me to score the sex scenes. My reviews are written by a straight guy but I am assuming that most of my readers are gay. I only rate sex scenes that are so obviously bad that no one would be turned on by them. Not being gay, I can rate the acting, camera work, etc in the scenes but the eroticism is hard for me to rate. I know from straight movies that there are some with great acting in the sex scenes and wonderful technical details but something is still just lacking in the scenes. I assume the same goes for gay sex scenes.
