I have researched this and know the truth. Stepfanie Kramer formerly of the hit show "Hunter" w/ Fred Dryer did three adult movies during 1974. Many sources have told me that she did do them, in fact the major one was the stuntman that worked on the "Hunter" show w/ her. He is dead now. One was sold during 2004. She admitted to doing the Adult movies on nationally tv. I am having a hard time finding them. No titles, not even an aka. Is there anybody out there that can help me.

First time I hear about this. Admitting to doing "adult" movies is really meaningless. That word could easily mean a movie with some erotic content, and not necessarily hard core. Also a number of actors and actreses in the 1970's were featured in hard core movies, but may not have necessarily performed hc acts.
This in part is a new version as well as a response to the comment made by Len801 to my post. Thank you Len801 for bringing to my attention that stating Stefpanie Kramer being in "Adult movies" is not correct. Not his exact statement. Yes, it is true an individual can appear in an adult movie but not take action in said film. So, Iam hear to make thinks alot clearer. To put a huge spolight on the fact that Stepfanie Kramer did in fact participate in sex acts that were not simulated, actually porn acts in three xxx-rated movies. How do I know? Evidence at hand: During the year 1987 on the show called "Friday Night Videos" hosted by John Stamos and Stepfanie Kramer, Mr. Stamos asked her about the porn she did and she replied she did do it. That in in itself does not prove that she did the 'act'. Futher investigation over a period of time dugg up the eveidence that was needed to vindicate my position. Multiple stores that I spoke to spoke of having seen the porn. But did not remember the titles and said that she did get involved in sex acts. An expert in my state spoked to a vendor telling him that she did have sex on screen, did porno movies. I had a porn mag showing her in a sex act that was destroyed in a flood. Darn flood. A stuntman that worked on the set with Miss. Kramer saw the material and said it was hard core. Now , why is it hard to find, not know by many. She bought out the rights. Why is not listed on "Rame". She hid them very well!!!! A collector out there some where in the USA or Canada has one, two or three and may see my post. I have so many other interest, this is a side hobby if you will. Not my life ambition to find. If any body has any ideas as to where to look or a collector, contact me when you can. Thanks for reading.

Simon, thanks for the additional info. Again, admitting to doing "porn" or "adult" material is really meaningless in the media age. I am not only speaking of US media but euro as well. Everyone who has done erotic movies seems to be pegged as doing "porn" or "adult". It makes good reading for the general masses, but when titles are analized they turn out to be of erotic, sexy or soft-core content. That's the reality of things. As to the question of "buying out" rights to hide away your past is rather difficult if not impossible, due to the dissemination of the material in question. You can try to acquire/buy what you can find, but if someone has a legitimate copy in their possession (magazine layout, VHS tape, etc) good luck! Kramer could not possibly have been able to track down everything. Admitting to doing porn (over the airwaves!) for a mainstream actress in 1987 would have been a career killer. I find that difficult to digest and I don't know how that interview/discussion went. Why would Stamos embarrass Kramer on TV with such a question? And what evidence did he have in order for him to even ask such a delicate question? The other curious thing is that Kramer has not done nudity or any sexy appearances on TV or manistream as far as I know. Would that not be strange? She was born in 1956 and started working in TV in 1977 (20-21 years old). If there was something "dark" (porn work)about her recent past, you think some sharp eye would not have brought it out? And having supposedly admitted to an "adult" movie career in 1987 (on TV?), even then people (yellow journalism) would not have stated digging?
Well, Len801 You have questions. I have answers. It's my intent to find the movies that Stepfanie Kramer had sexual intercourse, oral sex, lesbian sex, three way sex, orgy sex, what ever combination the director saw fit to put in the eyes of the camera man. Address your questions one at a time. John Stamos stated that he rented the xxx-ratedmovies she was in and saw the explicit action. This was after asking her about the porno out of the blue awhile sitting next to her in a chair hosting a show for music videos.I would not have. You would have to personally ask him, via e-mail, or your choice of communication as to why he would embarrassher like that. She responded right away to the question with the fact that she did do them. As far as a carrer killer, she did very well doing the "Hunter"series for years , bringing in a huge amount of money for that show. As far as no nudity in future works, she appeared in "Beyond Suspicion" in which she was a little erotic, but used a body double and that movie has the rating of 'R'.Regarding the 'dark porn work' and a sharp eye would have bought it out. Someone did. A videostore owner stated " I read that she did explicit sex acts in a xxx-rated movie". A store ( name will be given to you by e-mail if you so choose, during the course of the year 1990 removed three xxx-rated vhs tapes from their shelves. They were not told why to remove them. A store far away from me sold one during the year 2004. A company was called by a merchant to find out from an individual that knows alot about xxx-rated movies about Miss. Kramer. He stated she did three. Perhaps, it was a quick buck, not knowing that "Hunter" was in the future? As I stated the stuntman was very detailed in what he saw in and out intercourse, in out oral sex. Not censored.Between 1974- 1976 she did them. A friend dugg for me and found she hired a lawyer and a friend to remove what she removed. He stated she was ashamed of what she did. If there is a lEGAL copy (copies) out there i will do my best to find them. Everyone wants titles. I was lucky in my younger years to have had contact with people that knew what they knew. By the way Stallone did not do any nudity after "Party at Kitty and Studs". Buying the rights to a film is rather difficult, but not completely impossible. Maybe they just were not great, maybe they were great and she offered $100,000 to get what she could. How much do you know about xxx-rated movies? How much of a collector are you of them? How many people in the xxx-rated industry do you know? Do you have any major connections? Just curious. My hope of this post here is to hopefully answer all your questions to the best of my knowdlege and to allow people to know on this site Iam not chasing after a rumor, a ghost if you will. What would be my purpose? Iam glad iam fast at typing. This took 7 1/2minutes. Not that i mind, i do not. I just want to communicate with others someday with possible leads. Are there other sites i should try Len801? You can ask for yourself at IMDPRO her agent. I doubt that they will answer you. I have computer problems and do not wish to enter in the event my computer goes blitz and i loose money. Thank you for reply to my post. The late Peter Van Arle was lookimg into it for me, however, he passed away.To young to die, may he rest in peace. He was a wonderful guy!!! Thanks for your time Len801, Take care. Simon P.S. Feel free to ask any more questions. My pleasure to answer them. By the way this material was available prior to 1987 when she confirmed such and to this date her fans love her and her music she does is doing well.

Rumors back then were that she worked as Linda Baile in the early 70s. She never denied the rumors but her movies are hard to find.
Hi Ida lupino, Thank you for replying to my posts. You stated in the early 70s. With all due respect, she would have been underage when doing these, are you sure you have the year right? To whom did she not deny the rumors? How did the rumors come about? When did she not deny the rumors? How do you know they are hard to find? I am eager to hear from you. Again, thank you for the reply. I wish you well. Sincerely,
Hi Ida Lupino, i reversed the age by accident just now thinking for one second she was born 1965, that's when i said it would have been under age. She was born 1956, so she was legal 1974 for xxx-rated movies. I look forward to hearing from you again. Again, I wish you well. Warm Regards, Simon
If she worked as Linda Baile then the titles would be illegal to own as they were made prior to when she would have been 18 if IAFD has their dates right.

If it is hr and those are her films, more research would be required. I don't know anything about SATISFACTION GUARANTEED, and I had always assumed METER MAIDS was released around 1975. It's tough to track down info about these old movies, unless yoou have many hours to spend in some public library where they may have old newspapers of that period (New York Times, papers from LA or Chicago)to check the entertainment section for movie ads. These papers did accept ads for XXX rated movies until about 1976-1977 or so.
Rumors back then were that she worked as Linda Baile in the early 70s. She never denied the rumors but her movies are hard to find. _________________________________________________________________________ After carefully looking up Linda Baile aka Baily courtesy of"IAFD", there was no data across the board regarding her, if in fact she is Stepfanie Kramer. I would love to hear from Ida lupino again as Ida was kind enough to give me some info and that info came from having read something, heard something on tv, perhaps once a xxx-rated movie store owner/clerk. I tried her to e-mail her, however, Ida opted for people not to allow for contact by that method. I hope she does visit this site again and hope that it was not happenstance. I wish i could invite her back for the above mentioned. Thank you Len801 for your info regarding the library and titles you obtained from what i believe to be "IAFD'. Regarding "IAFD" and whether or not their dates are accurate. I do not know if they have ever made mistakes. One thing stands out. They stated she did two titles when in fact i know she did three titles. Evidence: I spoke to a xxx-rated video store that was very clear about the fact that they removed three xxx-rated movies from their shelves with the actress Stepfanie Kramer in them involved in sexual acts. I made sure by asking more than once that in fact it was Stepfanie Kramer form the hit show "Hunter" with the star Fred Dryer. He responded again "yes". Asked as to why they were removed? He stated: " I was told to remove them by a company and return them to them". Had they been not legal, would it not have been simple just to say that? Thatis where i have a shadow of doubt with this name Linda Baile aka Baily. To go ahead and visit the library for said project that would demand excessive hours on my part i cannot justify at this point without more contact with Ida. P.S. The person with whom I spoke to at the xxx-rated video store had done this during the year 1990. It was two years thereafter I spoke with him.During 2004 a differnt store researched it and found one. For all those that have atken out the time to read my post, thank you.

Let me categorically say that dates of release in IAFD datebase are pretty accurate. The compilers and gatekeepers have done a pretty good job considering the number of titles in the database. I have detected exceptionally very few mistakes in that regard. The percentage of error in insignificant. I have high praise for dates of release in IAFD database. But having said that, information about hard core titles released in the early 1970's, was and is not easy. There was no internet, hardly any magazine that covered of reviewed hc movies (Adam Film World being one of the rare exception of that period), and hardly any large paper reviewed hard-core movies (with exception of the more famous titles like DEEP THROAT, early Marilyn Chambers movies, etc). If I suggested looking up old newspapers, it was only to track down when these two movies may have been released and what the ads may have shown, since the VHS tapes that were made decades ago are out of print and near impossible to find. Retailers sometimes get a recall from a distributor/producer because of a number of "problems": (1) technical defect in the tapes/DVD discs (2) the producer may have received threatening letters or litigation because of something present in the video (copyright infringement) (3) presence of content which may be troublesome (fisting, etc) (4) presence of underage performer, etc. Each retailer has to decide whether it is worth their while to return the "recalled" tapes. If any of the 3 supposed hc titles of Kramer were recalled or if any retailer was compelled to comply, I doubt it may have been simply because of her personal desire to get them back. They would have been legitimate, unless of course the producer/distributor may NOT have obtained a proper release from her, or possibly she was able to prove in some way she was underage when the movies were made. Beyond that the product would have legitimate and retailer could not have been compelled to return the tapes.

Sorry, but the only info I have is from reading an old Al Goldstein article in Screw Magazine sometime in the 70s. Porn was fascinating in those days, but Screw was the only source for porn data back then. Usually very accurate. Al would interview porn people, and then just report his results. I don't ever recall hearing anything about Linda since. Nowadays, doing porn is like working at Walmart, and just as interesting.
Films from that period as little known as those titles may not even have been on VHS. Also remember, from that period films were often retitled, especially if they were stolen from the original owner so three different titles might have only been two films. Also credits weren't great in those days and often didn't even exist, so a film to be missing her credit wouldn't be a great surprise. If she did buy the rights to her films, that wouldn't have made stores have to return the titles. Traci Lords got the rights to Traci, I Love You and ended the selling of the title, yet already produced VHS tapes are still legal to own. If the stores actually sent them back that sounds more like an underage issue or that they were caught selling something they didn't have the rights to.
As for the first title, Meter Maids you can buy it from Something Weird under the title Meter Mades, it's on a double feature with The Orgy. It appears to be the same title that IAFD lists as Meter Maids.
According to several sites, this is the one sheet poster for Satisfaction Guaranteed. [Image not found DB] Running it through TinEye doesn't yield any results. I can't guarantee that it is the poster for the right film from the right year as many of the sites it is featured on steal from one another. The image is too small to yield original company information when blown up. But it might be of some help to you.

TRACI I LOVE YOU was produced by herself in France soon after she turned 18. It IS a legal title. It was released many months after the scandal broke (about a year later) by Caballero under a special agreement with them. She sued Caballero over some breach of contract a decade later and apparently won back her rights. She decided to remove the title from the US market, but it is still available (in DVD) in Canada, France and possibly some other countries. TRACI I LOVE YOU was the only hc movie Traci made when she was of legal age. It has NO underage issue. Lords apparently just decided to remove the title from domestic distribution in an effort to bury her porn career. Some of her underage porn titles are still legitimately sold in France, Italy and other countries. US retailers were asked to return/destroy the Traci Lords titles back in summer 1986 due to the umderage issue, but quite possibly some store owners/clerks/clients may have decided to hang on to them for their collector/historical value (even though it would be problematic to own them).
I didn't say that there was an underage issue with Traci, I love you. I was trying to show an example of where the rights were obtained by someone who wanted to remove the title from the marketplace and the fact that existing copies weren't sent back to the company.
I understand that Traci's movies are legal to own in Quebec, there all movies are approved by a film board, they were approved and the board decided not to take back its approval (legal age is 16 there as well IIRC). Therefore, you could view them there without legal repercussions. Another interesting tidbit -- Traci also posed for Penthouse while underage, so that caused problems for subscribers having to destroy that portion of the magazines to keep from being arrested.

Let me clear something up. Lords did NOT buy back the rights to TRACI, I LOVE YOU. She produced and owned it (I believe she incorporated a company with someone at the time). She only sold distribution rights to Caballero for a number of years. Lords had issues with Caballero in the way some excerpts/scenes from that movie were repackaged by Caballero (supposedly without her consent). She sued and apparently won or got settled out of court. She decided to remove title from domestic circulation, and is no longer avaiable in the US. The movie (DVD) is easily available in Canada, France and elsewhere without any legal restriction as far as I know. As far her "underage" titles are concerned, the Quebec authorities in Canada never withdrew her titles from video stores/clubs. There was no recall. They let the rating authorization stand nothwistanding Lords was underage. However, NO additional copies could be distributed. So only the originals can be legally circulated. Some Traci underage titles are easily avaiable in France, Italy and other countries. There are only a handful, and some are compilations. Traci posed nude in that Penthouse layout, and it was the same issue where nude pics of Vanessa Williams were published. It is a very sought out issue, because of both items.
Sources vary on saying that she sold the rights for a ten year period to she sold the film. I honestly don't know which to believe. Either way, this is an example of a film where distribution was halted and previously sold copies were still legal showing that someone halting distribution can't just recall previously sold copies.

I think the published stories of the 10-year distribution rights with Caballero and that the latter used scenes from the movie in compilation tapes, seems to be logical and quite correct. Traci Lords was busted in summer 1986 and needed money to begin a mainstream movie career. The only way to raise some hard needed cash (since the porn industry had turned hostile) was to market this only hard core legit work she had in her possession and had total rights to since she produced it with her own money(even if it was rather poorly made movie). So she struck a deal with Caballero (I heard stories that she got paid about $100,000, and other stories indicated she got a flat fee for each tape sold). The 10-year distribution rights seem to be logical and correct, since it was only about 10 years later that she launched a suit against Caballero. Scenes from the movie have floated around in compilations so that other part of the story seems to be correct. After the legal action was resolved, Traci did not market the film in the USA, most likely due to the fact that she probably got as much as she wanted from the movie and that she wanted to suppress all and any material about her porn past (whether legit or not). In other words she was pursuing a legit acting/singing acreer and did not want to have this sticky gum under her feet. For whatever legal reason (don't know what kinds of deals Caballero made with foreign distributors) TRACI, I LOVE YOU is still being legally sold in Canada and in Europe. The fact that Traci has not launched any legal actions against the foreign distributors may indicate she has no control over the foreign distribution of the movie. Only Lords or Caballero probably would be able to clear that up, but there was no apparent recall of that movie domestically or overseas. She is also unable to recall any "underage" movies she made released and marketed abroad, as she does not own the rights.
Boy, I feel like a forensic scientist who's lab has just blown up with all th evidence. In that i mean this would have to be the tuffest research project to date thus far. So, I like Stepfanie Kramer and want to see the material that she did. But iam certainly not if the option to get a copy of her tape(S) that are legal is introduce to me going to mortgage my house for such, its not worth that much to me. I appreciate everybody on this site for having done what they have done thus far to help me. Looking at her birthdate of August 1956, she would have been 16-17 when she did the movies which makes them unavailable to me. How does someone pull off getting something like that accomplished? It had to have to have been done on a 16mm reel, to start right? The one thing i need to know is this. Was Stepfanie Kramer's name mentioned in the article in "Screw Magazine". What was the substance of said article? When was it published? Was it mentioned she was underage in said article? If in fact was it Stepfanie Kramer? These mags are impossible to get a hold of. I believe that they are no longer in print. Some are for sale. But they are 1996-1997. That is why a date would sort of help. If in fact they were underage they would never had made it as far as 1990 to a shelf of a video store. Then for sale again during the year of 2004 as one vendor described to a tee what she looks like on the box. If in fact Kramer did do underage xxx-rated movies all she had to do was to flip out her birth certificate and boom she would have had them removed before her career got started in mainsteam tv, am i right? Thank you Flash for getting that poster up there even though it is too small and for checking "Something wierd"(I just cannot believe it is that easy). It's only ten bucks so that would rule out Linda's name completely if Kramer was not in the movie. What i need to know without bothering Ida is the substance of said article. Did Goldstein write well Kramer your aka for this is Linda and you did this during years???. Was there a pix there? I will do my best to find this movie and buy it as long as it is legal.Iam not sure as to where to go from here though.
If Something Weird is selling it than there shouldn't be any problems with legalities. IAFD may have the year wrong, or Linda Baile may not be Stephanie Kramer or Linda Baile may not actually be in the movie.

Any of these is a possibility. It would probably be worth the small amount of money to get METER MADES from Someting Weird to determine whether Kramer may be there, allowing he would recognize her. It would depend on print quality and whether there are sufficient close-ups of her to make a close analysis/determination. I think the movie is only about 1 hour long, so I don't expect to see the elusive Baile to be on screen for very long. As to the question of Simon being nervous about owning this movie due to some perceived illegality, there is no documented proof that (a) Kramer is in the film (b) that she was underage when it was shot. Don't forget that Candy Barr was underage when she shot that famous stag loop "Smart Alec" in Texas in 1951 and yet that loop was featured in A HISTORY OF THE BLUE MOVIE (1970) which was later marketed on video by Caballero, and again in ONLY THE BEST 3(1990,Cal Vista). Nobody recalled those tapes and nobody got busted.
According to Patrick Riley's index it's Linda Balle who is in Meter Maids. No guarantee that is accurate though. Archives of Screw aren't that hard to find, a simple internet search yielded this page which lists most of the issues from the time you'd be looking at. Also, he probably doesn't have back copies, due to losing his house and all but you could always ask Al Goldstein if he still has copies from back then. Honestly from looking around I don't think the movies you are looking for exist. All that I can find is you asking the same question all over the internet using various names and not getting any answers. If the movies did exist, someone would most likely remember them. Your picture may have been a look alike. If the movie had been a bigger title, and most likely available on VHS, someone would have noticed and there would be info about it. If it was small enough to avoid attention, then there are slim chances of them being on VHS to begin with let alone available to all of these sources to have happened upon. I could be wrong, but I highly doubt the existence of these titles. Lastly I have to ask, why don't you just ask her yourself. She's got a website, with an e-mail. If she was so open about it before I don't see why she wouldn't be now.
No pics? I remember a short woman with big dark curly hair. I watched most of the Hunter series. It wasn't a great show, but I was a kid without cable.
Regarding pics, google her name. I believe in the 2nd to 3rd season it was not getting the best of ratings. It soared thereafter esp in China. In my opinion it was a great show made by Steven J. Cannell and Frank Lupo. I guess it just did not work for u.

My brother used to claim that Kramer made porn under the name Lisa Marks. I don't know where he got the info, but he used to know some NY porn folk back in the 70s.
Thank u for telling me.Some members here think i just made this up or . Anyway of contacting your brother? I'll also check into Lisa Marks. Thanks for replying, I appreciate it.
Well someone has come forward on the issue of Kramer. Yet not resolved, research slowed down to zero in light that my father died this year. The info that Bet Piel has bought forward lets a lot of people know that I am not the only one that has heard something. Does anybody know who this Lisa Marks is and in porn has anybody ever used two or the stage names when doing xxx-rated, even if the name belongs to someone else?
Apparently you know very little about the adult industry, especially the industry back in the 70s. Many actors and actresses used multiple names back then when performing. For instance, look at the AKA list for Herschel Savage. And yes there were performers that used the same names as other ones. There are also titles where the producers just made up names for the credits. Now, since you don't seem to actually understand anything about adult movies from the early 70s, I'll also tell you that many titles, never credited who was in the title at all. If she did three titles back in 1974, as an unknown there is a good chance she was never even credited in the films at all.
I can see a production company not wanting to hire someone who did adult films in the past, it happens. However, the production company can't have the titles disappear from stores. Even if the company bought the rights to the titles, they could cease further production but not bring back previously sold titles. The only way titles would have been brought back is if an actor or actress had been discovered to be underage. Titles do get stolen over the years and do break though. From looking up Moonlite Reader they have four locations: 314C South Broadway, Salem, NH. / 6 South Broadway, Lawrence, MA. / 111 Plaistow Rd. (rt. 125) Plaistow, NH. / 940 US Highway (rt. 1 bypass) Portsmouth, NH. I can't comment on the Salem location but the Portsmouth location is relatively new. I only state this because unless they bought bulk inventory from a closing store a relatively new store is unlikely to have obscure titles from the early 70s. Your best bet would have been to try a place I believe was called Mike's in Manchester, New Hamphsire. They had a huge collection of classic adult titles. I'm guessing by now they don't exist anymore since as of the early 2000's they had to move to a much smaller location due to declining sales.
When i come into contact w/ a legal to own copy i will buy it. Moonlite Reader of Salem, Newhampshire was on a news broadcast in light of the fact that the neighbors did not want them there. I called them during year 2000 and they said they had three movies and were told to take them off the shelves, not titles info. Earlier in my life John Stamoes asked her. Another guy, mind you this was 20 years ago, said i'll ask a friend and he said she did a couple. Too much info for nothing to exist. I might find it in one day or five years from now. Depends on how much time i put into it. Iam writing a book so not much right now, but thanks for the info. By the way this lady in Ohio i believe said she sold one during 2004. She looked for eight months. I have not spoken to her for a year. She just had every excuse in the book for not looking into for me. If you want to call the store (if she still works there) i'll give you the phone #. It could be interesting, she thinks she knows everything and went as far to say about this forum unkind words. You should speak to her. You would set her straight.
I found a dedicated Stepfanie Kramer thread on another forum, discussion among some seemingly knowledgeable people regarding her career and her work; maybe you can pose your query there. I emailed you the link, didn't want to post it here. Edited by - ninja1 on 9/24/2010 6:02:36 PM
I suspect they are out of business, or I got the name slightly wrong. Too bad, they had an amazing classic porn collection for rental. Last time I was there was about 10 years ago. And I never went into the new location after they moved.
