Over the last few months, this has changed. Now the vast majority of posts are telling you about onlyfans or a paid Snapchat, flyers for sexpos etc are retweeted about 30 times per event and there's very little about any shoots other than retweeted official releases. From what I've seen, most of the ones who used to post shoot information still do, with the worst case being that said tweets might be harder to find mixed in with all the automated onlyfans tweets (and by the way, yeah, they're automated to tweet every time the performer posts to onlyfans. You can turn this off, but as far as I know it is on by default). [Link]

They will need that as a marketing tool to get some people in for the 10 bucks a month on onlyfans I don't know the ratios but say someone has 200,000 twitter followers; could they get 100 of them to pay 10 bucks a month? But a private model like that can't ever go head to head with a public model like Twitter. There's a reason Twitter has hundreds of millions of users, and being free is obviously the main factor. So I don't ever expect models/performers to ever totally abandon it. Some of the more successful ones just may use it more for teases. It's actually turning me off the idea. I think these performers who have just joined "onlyfans" have it set up to every time they get a new subscriber on "onlyfans" a OF banner pops up on their twitter feed, which is extremely annoying. I can understand notifying people if they have new content to preview or advertise, but showing pop-ups every single new customer they get? Gross. Imagine if other companies did this every single time they got a new sale. It's one thing to allocate ad space to say "over 1 billion served", but just spamming your feed with generic boilerplate banners is obnoxious. It's not merely as bad as door-to-door salesmen visiting every week. It's like one salesman ringing your doorbell every hour. It's definitely going to turn people off of these stars' twitters. Maybe that is the point? I can understand the push for a new more lucrative platform, but I just don't see this one supplanting Twitter which exists precisely because it is free and public. Again, I have no problem whatsoever with content creators using Twitter to advertise their content. I guess the most annoying thing is the generic template which reveals nothing interesting - not even a pixelated thumbnail preview. I'm no expert, so if anyone can explain it better, I'd love to know, but I just don't see this as being the best marketing. [Link]

In other words, it's either you link your twitter account or you don't, and if you do it sends out all of those notices, and if you don't it sends out none of them. I think it would behoove OnlyFans to give performers more choice in what they do and don't tweet out, lest they have more and more performers opt out of connecting their twitter entirely. [Link]
