I remember, not too long ago (only a few years), when most of the girls in the porn industry had lovely unblemished skins. Now, for some unknown reason, these bloody things (tattoos) seem to be multiplying like a disease, to the point that I don't think there is one girl in the business that doesn't have one or more decorating their bodies, making them look more like the walls of public conveniences rather than sex objects! Not a smart thing to do, I think, especially when most guys who watch the flicks seem to be as turned off by this "ghetto art" as I am. Time and time again I see people complaining about the things, both on forums and in reviews. Not only that, but DVD companies have even resorted to covering tattoos on the box covers with things like hands or by posing the girl at an angle so as to hide the things. So why, if tattoos are such a menace to the industry and such a turn off to the punters, do the girls insist on getting them, especially the big gaudy ones?
Ahhh...bring back the good old days of gorgeous girls with unblemished bodies!
*shrug* I like tattoos. My favorite stars (Chloe Dior, Azlea, Madison) are pretty heavily inked.

A lot of it is a matter of taste. Some like them, some don't. Not much more complex than that.

But I don't get why it's mostly started in the last few years, since about the end of the 90's. If you look at stuff that was made up until the mid 90's, you'll see that most of the girls were unmarked by ink.
It's pretty simple, many young people, male and female, are getting tattoos these days. It's a statement and all that. It wasn't much of a statement in the 70s and 80s. I imagine it'll fade out eventually, but maybe not for another 10 or 20 yrs. I doubt that tattoos are a fleeting fad, they've been around too long and are cheap and easy to get, and mostly clean and safe if you're not a total moron when you go to get one.
I've thought about it, but I have such changable tastes that I can't even commit to a hairstyle that will eventually grow out, let alone a tattoo that'll be with me forever. I guess I'll stay ink-free.
Speaking of ink - is a tattoo better than a scar? Some people get them to cover scars that they feel are unsightly.
Agreed. It's more just a reflection of people in general than something exclusive to porn chicks. People are simply getting more ink and it's become more generally accepted, so therefore you notice more tattoos on the porn chicks breaking into the business.
I'm finding tattoos no matter how small or Large disgusting in real life & also in watching Porn to the point of fast forwarding thru the scenes containing gurls with heavy tattoos. I share the same view about gurls with hellacious-lookin bOObjobs.
Keep it all Natural Gurls!

As Kimi put it, tattoos are just fashionable amongst younsters at the moment. Lickily, me, I am not bothered by them at all. I like fashionably girls in my porn flicks.
On the other hand more and more porn consumers seem to opt against tattoos. At <Shameless Moscow> we get a lot of inquiries about <natural girls>. Also in Kiev they were booked out faster than the tattooed ones. From a business point of view luckily Russian and Ukrainian teens are still a bit more conservative applaying ink on their skin. I expect this soon to develope into a mayor selling argument. But I also expect ink-free Moscow talent to get scarce soon. Our teens copy the West faster and faster.
For the time being, there is no tattoo-less supply problem, however.
Agreed. It's more just a reflection of people in general than something exclusive to porn chicks.
I know what you mean. Even my intended got one of those bloody things (although very small) before I met her. *SOB!*
Even though I can just about cope with the small out of the way ones, it's the mammoth things they splash all over their stomachs, tits, arms, bellies,, butts, legs and backs that I can't stand. In fact, the tattoo craze is getting sooo bad now that I'm starting to look to the older classic flicks for my porn wants. It's a shame really, because we have some really great looking new girls out there, but they just let themselves down by making themselves look like a bit of human graffiti.
And has been said above, those bloody things are so hard (not impossible) to get rid of. They might be cheap to get, but they're damned expensive to get rid of!
I don't have anything against it as long as they're on the right spot and not a lot and of course not too big.
I like a tattoo on a girl just above the butt and on the ankle.

I don't mind much if they're really tiny and somewhere like, as you said, the ankle, or anywhere else where they won't distract from both the action or the girl's beauty. But when they're large and in your face, that's when I switch off. Although, I don't go much on tattoos at the base of the back, because they distract my attention from the girl's butt.
I have 5 small tattoos. I think of them as jewelry, they are my little works of art, individually mine and priceless because they cannot be sold. More women are getting tattooed now than men. Don't expect it to go away any time soon. It is a form of self expression. All of my friends have them as well as my sister and my Mother. When I got my first tattoo, someone asked me what people would say about my tattoos when I am 80. My reply: I'll look just like all the rest of the old women in the old folks home. That's even more true 12 years later.
I think it's perfectly fine for girls to get tattoos, piercings, and fake boobs, but I DON'T WANT TO SEE THEM HAVING SEX. At all. Natural is best, and the rest is a distraction. Man, I hate those pierced tongues. What a drooper. I mean, if I think it's o.k. to get pierced ears, what's wrong with pierced other parts? I'm not against it in theory. But I bet the girls only harm their career and appeal if they get pierced, and tattooed. The guys who like it are surely there, but in the minority. Boob jobs, that's another thing - probably like 50/50. Not for me, I still don't watch porn with plastic boobed girls.
I echo that. I hate to fall back on a standard line but it depends on the girl and, to limited degree, where & what she gets. Still, at the end of the day it is all a matter of taste.

No offence to anyone here, but to most guys it IS a real turn off to see girls wearing tattoos, especially after you've spent good money on a disk. Honestly speaking, but to most guys tattoos look masculine, like something a docker, hood or army/marine trooper would have, not a pretty girl.
But I bet the girls only harm their career and appeal if they get pierced, and tattooed.
Yes, I definitely think they do. And despite what they might think, tattoos tend to attract the wrong sort of men in their private lives too.
I completely respect your personal dislike for tattoos on women. Everyone has different tastes. I really think your off on a couple of things though. Belladonna has several tattoos, her career seems to be improving more and more everyday. With Bella loves Jenna just coming out, she shares the title and the cover with one of the most notable names in porn today.
As for the views you have about women with tattoos. They are a bit outdated. They might have applied 20 years ago, but this is what's going on today:
---------------------
Suburban Women
Canada's Toronto Star reported in September of 1997 that when Beth Seaton, professor of mass communications at York University conducted a study of the clientele at one of Toronto's most popular tattoo art studios, she found that 80% of the customers were "upper middle-class white suburban females." This trend -- the spreading popularity of tattooing among well-educated women in affluent suburban communities -- is one of the most striking aspects of the new attitudes about the art form.
The medical journal Physician Assistant which circulates to doctors' offices throughout the country, has alerted its readers: "Tattoos were most common among motorcyclists, criminals, gang members, and individuals with psychiatric problems...However, these stereotypical associations have changed over the past 20 years...Tattooing in women has quadrupled, and it is estimated that almost half of the tattoos now being done are on women."
The daily Bismarck Tribune of North Dakota in November, 1997, took a closer look at the clientele patronizing tattoo art studios in and around Hazen, a middle-class suburb of Bismarck. Tribune reporter Lauren Donovan reported that the 30-40-year-old age group of "Soccer Moms" is the fastest growing demographic of the local tattoo market. She wrote that four typical clients included "two hockey moms, one figure skating mom and one figure skating coach" who were "women with full lives at home, church and in the community. They couldn't be less like the leather-wearing biker with skeleton tattoos on his chest." One woman wore a small rose tattoo on her shoulder; another had a tiny white baby seal on her ankle.
The national marketing magazine About Women, Inc., in April of 1998, published an article that reported: "Tattooing is on the rise among adult women, including professional women; almost half of all tattoos are being done on women. Professor Myrna L. Armstrong of Texas Tech University School of Nursing told About Women, Inc., that several trends play into this interest in body art...for some young women, tattooing is an outward expression of the internal process of identity building...'a tattoo makes them feel good -- it makes them feel special, different,' says Armstrong." --------------------

Hmmm, I've seen quite a few tattoos on the ladies that I'm sure you would NEVER see on a guy, or the next comment might be that the guy with one of those tattoos has a 'sissy' tattoo.
Tattoos can be quite attractive if done correctly on a woman. I am a big fan of the tattoo at the base of the spine above the ass. Also tattoos on the shoulder blades and around the ankles are nice as well. Tattoos above the pussy and on the breasts and ass also have their place. Off course tattoos on the forearms are definitely a no no. I think oversized tattoos such as Belladonna’s work because they are part of the persona; such tattoos create an aura of the sex mad, hard dominatrix in control, not a sweet innocent plaything. This i like and Belladonna does it well.

I think my trouble is that I like the girl with the pure look (although I do like medium to big tits), who acts dirty. I like the innocent look, especially when she then starts acting dirty. For example, Hannah Harper has the perfect look. She has no tats that I can see (if she does, they're very small and out of the way) and she looks like a girl fresh off the cheerleading squad. Another example is another of my old favs, Cheyanne. Or there's Anna Belle. Now those girls are my idea of fantasies!
That's cool, I just thought it might help to know that half the soccer mom's down the street have tattoos now too. If that's the case then a few PTA members at the local school and other prim and proper type people may be hiding a few tattoos themselves. Sort of a secret self. Especailly when the tattoo isn't somewhere that everyone has access to. The librarian, the bank teller, anyone could be hiding some sexy design above their tailbone or on their hip. :)
Like Kimi, I couldn't think of anything I would want printed on me that I would not get tired of. I know some people get one and then they say the feeling of when you get one becomes addictive. I have no problem with others getting them its just not for me. Plus, I could kiss dancing with a company ever again goodbye if I had one.
1) Some people get tattoos to express their independence. I don't see how you express your independence by doing something because everyone else is.
2) I've never seen a woman about whom I've thought, "You know, she'd be damned near perfect if she just had a tattoo. Something like a Klingon battle weapon on her tailbone, or maybe a snake slithering across both breasts. Yeah, that's what she needs to be really hot!"
I can tolerate tattoos. I'd be crazy to kick Monica Sweetheart or Serena South out of my bed because they had tattoos -- oh how I wish I had that opportunity!
I've been with a few escorts who had tattoos, and the experience wasn't diminished by their presence, and probably wouldn't have been any better with them gone. But, all in all, it's my fantasy, whether visual or physical, and my preference is for both to be tattoo-free,
Bring on the body mods!! There's nothing sexier then a girl with a nice tattoo in the small of her back, a tongue stud and a belly ring; my own personal goddess. I believe body mods have done alot to add a little more something to the already beautiful female form. What better way can a person express their individuality through the various forms of piercings and tattoos.
My favorite gal August has "The Best" and one of "The Worst" tattoos.
The best tattoo in the Biz is her tribal tat just above her ass. That tattoo is classy and cool, and I don't even like tattoos. Once you see that tattoo, you go "WOW...that's a cool tattoo"!
The worst, is her floral tattoo under/on her left arm. That tattoo is just to much, nothing sexy about that one.
Only time I would buy a girl flowers is if she was in the hospital 455 Posts 1/04

Most people I know that have tattoos either weren't thinking when they got them aka drunk or later regret getting them especially after they fade, etc. I guess that's why tatoo remove is a profitable field to get into these days. Being in the military I can't tell you how many times people tried to get me to get one but luckily I was able to stick to my guns.

I tend to reserve my judgement of a tattoo based on the quality of the artwork and if it's on a good spot on the body. Belladonna's bird of paradise tat that covers her left breast is really nice and I don't think it detracts from her look at all. On the other hand, she has quite a variety on her body and the ones on her fingers look like prison tats. Jenna Jameson has one that covers the back of her neck and the heartbreaker on her inviolate tush. She still looks alright to me. The tattoo on Charmane Star's upper arm looks pretty good as does she. Anyway, it's kind of like discussing implants. You can take the attitude that it's always wrong, or always right, or just take it on a case by case basis.
Well I'm not a big fan of tattoos, but some look good as long as it's donw with moderation. A little thing on a breast or an ankle, or lower back is fine with me. But if you can see a tattoo from any angle you see a girl, then it's too much.
And personaly I think tattoos look good only on slightly colored to tanned girls, but not on those pale white girls... they look much better innocent with a clean body.
Mojo mate, the only issue I have with your post is that you're equating your own opinion as "most guy's opinions" . Maybe it's true for yourself and your circle of friends who you discuss this with, I don't know.
What I do know, however, is that you speak for "most guys" as much as I do whenever I write down my opinions on something in this (or any other) forum.
As for covering them up on the boxcovers, I agree with you that it's duplicitious and would prefer that it didn't happen. But let's face it, they do it for a smart reason, as a pic of an un-tattooed hot chick is going to appeal to people who dont like tatts, and a lack of tattoos isn't going to stop a tattoo-likin'guy from buying a DVD either.
The same happens regularly with girls on the boxcovers who have small breasts. You'll see them in the butt-in-shot, looking-over-their-shoulder angle with their chests "conveniently" out of the shot...
Good point Ami, not to mention Jenna herself who now wears quite a lot of ink. Though I'm not a fan of either lady's tattoos, I have to say more power to them both.
I noticed the colorful large ((expensive ones)) seem to distract the eyes. I don't dislike tattoos, but if it takes away viewing pleasure of the main cources of a film, it need not apply.
The director should take notice, and either correct it or edit out the very "message" distracting tattoos.

Tatoos are okay, if they do not have too many. If it is like a biker image that is not accepatable. Usually pornstars are not conservative people which means they are not dull people. Conservative people usually do not have tatoos. Tatoos are okay in my book. I usually do not go for the conservative look and by the way, pornstars are not conservative people.
At the moment guys are requesting IDs and having to submit pics, should the future be, describing the Tat for an ID ??? A beautiful blonde with a butterfly, blue wings about 3" tall stuck on her butt.
