Now I´ll watch a random recent porn flic. And I´ll see the introduction... the girl undressing... maybe the setup... and BANG, there he is: The ugly dude. Some mediocre-sized dick, ugly tatoos, not the nicest face, usually some high school frat that in real life would jerk off to the porn chicks poster, but now is fucking her. So far, so good - I´m not jealous! - if you couldn´t clearly see that the porn chick probably thinks the same. The uglier the dude gets, the more you can see she´s here for the paycheck. But I think there are different criteria for men as opposed to women. A male star needs to be reasonably hung, relatively fit and have a clue how to get a woman off. What bothers me more than anything else is male stars who have severely crooked dicks and/or can't get or keep wood. I hate to put that so bluntly because it seems really insensitive, I know but let me just add that my own dick isn't perfect. Far from it. I just think it needs to be as close to ideal as possible. Porn isn't real. Porn is striving for ideal. It's striving for how things would be and look if everything were perfect. As far as the guy's facial appearance, that's not so important because it rarely gets shown. But it is important for the women to be attracted to the guys (at least on a physical level) and vice versa. [Link]

As long as our society continues to see women who are sexually open and free in a negative light, you're not going to see very many genuine performances in porn.
