After I lost the order from Erodvd I was a bit pissed because Customs especially those at Dover seem to be moving back into the middle ages again. I was seriously considering writing to C&E to find out what their policy was regarding importing adult material. Then I had second thoughts about stirring up a hornets nest and getting myself blacklisted in the process and thought fuck it just bite the bullet on this one.
So I placed another order shortly after with Erodvd which was again inspected but allowed to pass through. Nothing "dodgy" I might add but it seemed more than a coincidence in such a short timeframe.
I suspect C&E do have a "selective" policy on inspections. They select everything with a Dutch postmark!!
I ordered 2 more dvds last week and they were sent separately. Again nothing dodgy. One arrived Friday unmolested and hopefully the next one should arrive in the next day or so. These were "cheapish" titles but I would want a shipping method that is a bit less of a gamble for an order of GGG dvds at $30 a throw.
Packages from the Netherlands will always be subject to closer inspection from the authorities and I have approached Erodvd for other alternative shipping methods, which I am willing to pay for. But no suggestions are forthcoming so far. I don't mind them shipping without the box but I do want the covers, but more often than not I only get the disc.
Like you Gabriel I have had very few problems ordering from the US and at worst I had to pay Duty and then only on orders where the retailer declared the full value of goods.
