A possible answer to the delays some members of this forum are experiencing may be fallout from recent events. I have been led to believe that international mail is being subjected to greater scrutiny than usual. This will probably slow things down. It may also mean that more packages are being seized than previous.

Lastly, remember that Blunkett's memo goes live today meaning the importation of titles that contravene the R18 rules (and/or the obscene publications act) becomes a serious, arrestable criminal offence.

Yeh, only if you intend to import such filth as beastiality, rape, fisting and pissing shit etc.

If you want it spelled out, yes. Remember though that the R18 rules are still pretty strict and the OPA is by definition very subjective and HMC&E bods can be extremely subjective when they want to. What you might find acceptable might shock some born-again Customs Official to the core and he'll confiscate the disk and pass your name on to the Law.

I mean, if you import the international version of "Zazel", it would theoretically get picked up because the R18 version is trimmed (the Devil daydream).

I'm just advising caution for fellow forumites until we find where HMC&E and the Home Office stand on imported porn.

I am sorry, but censorious attitudes from the British government are unlikely to be overturned when even porn fans cannot sensibly discern what constitutes genuinely consensual adult activity (even if you don't personally approve of it) from the genuinely offensive non-consensualmaterial. Why is it that people assume fisting and golden showers to be on the same level as rape?
Don't you realise that these don't have to be considered as particularly offensive or outrageous acts? They are a normal part of many straight or gay relationships.
Sorry to go off on one here, but this kind of narrow mindeness among the very constituency who should be standing up against such attitudes and such lazy thinking really annoys me!
Why should the British govenment have the right to seize material that is perfectly legal in other European countries? What is so very different from them to us? Are they totally degenerate, and we are totally moral and upstanding because of it?

I agree with Gab9, but I shall not be ordering untill the situation becomes clear about what is 'acceptable', at the moment it seems nothing but the softest of porn seen late at night on C5. Confused, I am.

No offence itended, but I am not into that kind of stuff.
