Go to 'Start' then click on 'Accessories' and then click on 'System Tools.' There at the bottom is 'System Restore' and pick a date before the unwanted change occured. It should work unless the harddrive area that the deleted software was written on was over-written. It's a good idea to create a restore point when you're downloading software or adding hardware, just in case the change fouls up the puter. Just create the restore point before beginning the change. It takes a minute or two but it'w worth the time and effort. Wanna check to see if your computer does restore points automatically? Right click 'My Computer' and then click on 'Properties.' Click on the 'System Restore' tab and make sure the 'Turn Off System Restore' checkbox isn't checked. [Link] |
