Though with the help of google and the forum search feature, i am unable to find what i am looking for. It is a bit odd, but i am trying to find a compendium on the US porn industry as a whole from its very most documented beginings to present. If possible, a more in depth look at the different facets and their individual entities and workings if possible as well. Ever since I was a boy and stumbled over my first porn tape i have been enthralled with the nature of porn and the industry, not so much from a "get off" standpoint but as a more of a renaissance of human sexuaility and freedom of expression, not unlike that of the edo period in japan. Perhaps like most of you enlightened people, i just enjoy watching people have sex. If someone could point me in the direction of a resource location, or help me understand from an academic standpoint here, i would be ever so grateful. [Link] |

There is also the "Big Book of Porn" which is more first hand but mostly crap. There is also a DVD called "Pornography: The Secret History Of Civilization". I have not seen it but it looks promising. I also recommend RAW TALENT, by Jerry Butler, Prometheus Books. & if you check Lukeisback.com, you'll see that Luke Ford has not only published a book on the industry but has the most comprehensive & voluminous archives of any porn scribe.
