What's up with the companies name? Why Arch Angel? There is Elegant Angel, Evil Angel? Why all the angels? Even the cover looks excacltly the same as Elegant Angel covers.

Really look forward to the new direction you have taken MimeFreak,is this going to be more risky/avant-garde than Elegant Angel releases you have Directed so far. Some questions i have to ask.... What is different to other EA releases? Do you have a license to thrill ArchAngel style. Can you Direct what you really want to or are there still restrictions from EA,if you feel your hands are tied will you leave and follow your creative dreams... Good luck for the future MF.
What I Always hate at Elegant Angel are the white big rooms or warehouses with alot of echo and artistic filming with the girls completely naked (no lingerie or hot clothing on during the sex). I hope Archangel will offer something different... something new... something not the same as Elegant Angel.... Something NASTY like the old Elegeant Angel from 10 years ago would be nice though.
We will get there. There's a difference of what we can and can't do to sell movies. A lot of companies are restricted because of the deals that are set in place. We depend on VOD and there are certain things you can't do. You don't have the luxury of depending on DVD sales anymore.
I have total control of these movies. So I have push the envelop a little bit more then I can at Elegant. However we will see what will happen in the future. I still have a boss that I have to answer to but he's young and willing to take risk. So we will see.
Great box cover. If you do movies in the same phase with great cast then in no time you will be in Top 5 Porn Studios like EvilAngel JulesJordan HardX.

But maybe twice as much customers? Looking at my own preferences... I never buy the so called soft stuff.. but if there are two cuts available I will definitly will be interested. In the old days.. there was the euro-cut and the us-cut. Those where the days. And about the editing.. is it really so much work to first make a nasty cut and after that cut the nasty stuff out for the couples-cut? I am familiar with editing myself and it really isn't so much work IMO.

The whole thing is almost comically unoriginal. I don't understand why so much praise is flowing in this thread when this company clearly doesn't have any idea how to enter the marketplace other than by producing product which is obviously designed to be mistaken for the product of an existing company.
Don't you mean deviously unoriginal. I'm sure you noticed how much the covers they show basically copy Elegant Angel in every way. It's not necessarily a bad marketing idea because Elegant Angel was a beloved studio but this kind of marketing can quickly backfire if people star reviewing their stuff and find that it is significantly below what Elegant put out. Whatever happened to wanting to distinguish yourself from the rest. Saying that you can do porn just as good as someone else is not as impressive as saying you can do it better. Not to mention that copying a dying(almost dead) studio may not the best idea in the long run.
But then the same could be said for Mason's work for HardX,she built up her work for years so no way was she going to let go of her fan base by bringing out movies that would alienate her fans,the same goes for William H no way was he going to let go his Big Wet Asses series which is still the same over at Jules Jordan although a different name it's shot in the style of his EA releases

That really wasn't my point. I'm not bashing directors going to new companies and continuing to make movies in their established style; I'm talking about packaging their new movies in ways that are calculated to make buyers mistake them as product of their former companies. Mason didn't pick some copycat name for her new company like ErstAngel or Eloquent Angel, and the graphic design of of the boxes -- their use of color, the huge logo on the top -- clearly differentiates them from EA boxes. The new William H titles at JJ totally look like JJ boxes; you practically have to squint to see William's name on them.

Harri i get what you are saying but there will also be a lot of porn buyers who do not know that Directors such as Willian H,Mason etc have moved on so a box cover close to what they normally release would have them checking it out on line or in a porn store.
It's also a way to show their product is the same as it was , reassuring their long term customers also aside her new blue background actually Mason does the very same kind of cver she used at Elegant and so does William H and Even LT at Combat Zone. The main element isn't the logo or the name plus Archangel is written big enough nobody would mistake it for anything else. The style is the same one main girl on the cover , a series of little screenshots from the scenes showing them in the back cover , Elegant Style all their covers are as such Mimefreak still directs for Elegant though
