After 20 years in Congress he's well aware of what you can actually accomplish in Washington. He has a libertarian/constitutional philosophy of government. All he can do is swing the pendulum back towards less government, which means tiny changes with the big change of bringing our troops home. Shagdog, please research the FBI raid of Liberty Dollar if you think everyone is so free to buy gold. Our government does not allow competing currencies. This isn't about my business. I know Huckabee is a whackjob who wears Jesus around his neck. I would vote against him no matter what. He's just one more reason to support a different candidate in the primary. And if you go beyond voting (volunteer, canvass, donate, etc.) then maybe we won't get stuck with the same band of warmongering lobbyist lovers we've been stuck with so long. I researched the raid but all I get is the FBI stole your money send us more money to fight them. But I’m always skeptical of people that want me to trade my worthless US dollars for their valuable currency. Waco and Ruby Ridge bother be more than the Liberty Dollar raid. I know it is legal to buy gold, sell gold, and have gold in your possession. “Our government does not allow competing currencies” This goes back very to early in our government. The states can’t print currency either. I agree with the government. You can’t have people going around printing their own money. I think you need to get behind a viable candidate in the primary. If you don’t you may end up with a unelectable candidate in the national election. And a Mike Huckabee as president. Remember these same people elected George Bush twice.
