This is a review, but I am not sure it would be at home in the review section. In fact, I am not sure anyone has the kind of sense of humor to appreciate the point of view...

Remember the joke that Quentin Tarantino tells in the movie Desperado? "This guy, he comes into a bar..." If you don't, here is one link to it. I was reminded of this joke and the way it is told in the movie while watching the German DVD Uromania.

One would suppose that a porn DVD with a pissing theme would rely on the shock or fetish value alone and have, well, piss-poor production values. In this case, one would be wrong. In fact, as far as picture and sound are concerned, Uromania is definitely one of the better porn releases, and is lacking only in the supplemetary material, of which there is none. (I would like to see a making of feature, just to satisfy my curiosity about how these videos are shot. Considering the volumes of liquid expelled, either these Germans have superhuman bladders, or each scene takes a very long time to do. But I am getting ahead of myself.)

The DVD consists of five vignettes, in which the women are in some ways the initiators of the sexual goings-on, during which they piss on their partners, who appear invariably to love it. This is not just a pissing video either, there is some very enthusiastic fucking going on here. Most of the women here are more mature than what you'd see in the bulk of porn productions. But, with one or two exceptions, they are good looking. The men are also very presentable - perhaps surprisingly, considering the fetish nature of this production.

But the reason why I find this video really interesting is that, at least to me, it is hilariously funny as well as sexy. Think of it: the driving force of comedy is usually a character or several characters who act in ways that are considered improper or anarchic. And what could be more improper in our society than pissing in front of, or on, other people?

I will describe the first vignette at length in an attempt to illustrate my point. It opens with a guy in coveralls working in a porn warehouse. He accidentally topples a pile of videotapes and while putting them back he becomes so distracted by one boxcover that he soon takes his dick out and starts stroking away. Meanwhile, in the office, a very businesslike blonde woman is talking on the phone about some situation in the warehouse in an angry tone of voice. She has to take the matter in her own hands, and thus she walks over to the warehouse door, only to discover the warehouse manager pleasuring himself. She apparently is overwhelmed by the sight, and squats down by the door to finger herself through her panties. Well, apparently she has forgotten to go to the bathroom as well, as her panties soon get wet, and pulling them aside, she lets out a long stream of piss, some of which even hits the camera. After masturbating by the door, she is still not satisfied, but she has to get back to the office to deal with this wanker who, in the meantime, has nicked the tape for more fun at home. So she gets up and walks back through the puddles, cool as ever.

Back in the office, she orders the warehouse man to come see her immediately. While waiting, she masturbates some more, and pisses on the floor. There are pretty extreme closeups of her pussy during this: maybe the camera guy gets hazard pay for those shots. Whoever has to clean up in that office must be royally pissed.

Eventually the man arrives. The woman chastises him for stealing tapes and wanking on the job. He immediately becomes miserable, saying that he just can't help himself with all the stimulation. The woman is stern and threatens to fire him. The man becomes even more miserable: what will he do to support his family? Well, there is another alternative, she says, and opens her legs. The man is duly astonished by this turn of events, but after the woman amplifies her meaning, he gratefully dives in and starts licking. Soon the woman says "Watch out, Mr. Schröder!" and lets out another stream of piss on his coveralls and face.

Now here's another funny part: When the man takes off his coveralls (he's wearing nothing but undershorts under them), the cassette he stole falls off. The woman scolds him for this, and he says that he could not resist it, seeing those tits on the cover. Well, the woman says, pay attention now, I'll show you some real tits, and takes her dress down. (I can't really do justice to the comic aspects of the dialog. The woman and the man speak German, obviously, and use the formal mode of speech: it's like the power relationship between these characters stays very much on the surface throughut the situation, even when they are having wild animal sex.)

The scene then continues with them fucking in several positions on her chair and on her desk. She pisses several times more during this scene, at one time she does it while squatting on top of him at his crotch and shoots all over his chest and face, and the last time while standing over him. The scene ends with a facial pop shot, after which the tearfully protesting man gets coldly thrown out. The whole scene is a little over half an hour in length.

This scene is the funniest, hottest and most interesting one on the whole DVD. I was impressed by the acting: in my opinion, it was better done than almost any other example from porn I can think of. Usually porn stars, when in a "feature film", speak their lines without any conviction, whereas these two people used the tones of voice so that the situation was more convincing, and because of that, more bizarrely funny - watching it was like watching a TV show from some weird alternate universe.

In the following scene a female doctor has just gotten a chair with stirrups, and she asks the delivery man if it is rustproof. Of course she has to test it thoroughly by pissing all over the place and also by fucking the man who delivered the chair.

The next scene takes place in some Mediterranean-looking place, where a girl is looking for a place to take a pee, when she comes across a naked man lying asleep in the sun. Naturally, she wakes him up by pissing on him, which leads to a lot of sex.

Next, a couple of older women sit at a restaurant table and bitch about men, and apparently decide to have some kind of pissing contest from the edge of the table. Later, a youg stud joins the fun.

The last scene features a somewhat flabby blond woman who plays hotel guest taking a bath. The room service guy brings her some refreshments, but soon finds himself in the bath with her, clothes and all, and the rest is pretty easy to guess.
