If I type a text and enter the correct apostrophe (U+2019) instead of the not-so-correct one (', U+0027), I get the following: ’
Same is valid for correct double quotes, „ “ ”, single guillemets ‹ ›, and dashes: – —
And, I guess also for text with characters outside the latin-1 area: łąṣİ
It seems there is an UTF-convert too much (or missing) when the data is stored in the database... Or when the text is displayed again.
Is there something that can be done?

The database was never converted to support the UTF character set. I'm sure something could be done about it. I'm not sure it's a priority though.
