Can anyone shed some light as to why it is possible to transmit HIV having unprotected intercourse and NOT while having oral sex and swallowing the fluids(cum)?
The astute reader will notice that those helpful tables only differentiate between "With condom" and "Without condom", there is no "Without condom, but I pulled out so that's slightly safer right?". According to the Centers for Disease Control, coitus interruptus is almost* completely worthless as a means of disease prevention. "This has been a public service announcement from bored internet pedants with too much time on their hands"...
I've seen lots of web pages that assert this, but never managed to connect with any actual scientific studies that show it. Do you have any references, particularly in relation to cunnilingus?
I've always seen it in reference to taking a (guy's) load. Don't remember where, but I do believe I have seen it in a medical journal. I'll look, but don't expect it to be a quick responce.
Their FAQs are terribly inadequate, but the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has a very comprehensive website: http://www.cdc.gov/ . You'll probably have to dig for a while, but the answeres for your questions are there. Since I neglected to book mark the pages last time I had to search through them, I can't help you, so have fun.
