Hello,
I know Canadian distributor Valentine Video no longer cuts trailers. They also keep full movies intact.
Does anyone know if they change the DVD menus or lower the quality of movies?
Thanks!

I had a few Valentine titles before I sold them, and from what I can recall, they kept the menus the same and the quality was the same as the American release. The only thing that was different was the packaging with the Valentine logo.
I haven't owned a Valentine title in years, I import all of my porn from the U.S.

I'm the same if I have a choice I usually buy from the US when I can. My first experience with Valentine Video was a Jules Jordan movie Jenna Haze vs. Krystal Steal. I didn't realize till I saw the same movie in the US listed that there was footage edited out. I think the bts was edited down and there were some bonus scenes not even included in the feature. At some point I want to get a copy from the US just to see what exactly was edited. This movie I actually got from a brick and mortar store a number of years ago. I have also dealt with Canadian sellers and noticed they will sell both US and Canadian versions. For a while if I saw The Valentine logo I just assumed it was edited because something didn't pass censors and just purchased from the US. Now they overprice their movies so much I only buy from US if there is a sale or if I really want something.

From what I gathered contacting Valentine Video and the AdultDVDTalk forum:
Valentine Video versions keep the entire film. They also don't cut trailers anymore, and in fact rarely did in the past. If the menus and quality are the same, I guess the only difference between Canadian and American versions is the logo on the back. Otherwise they are identical.
My only other options are to buy locally (super expensive, at least double the cost of online), or order from the US. However, if I order from the US then it has to pass customs, and the fees are really high. Importing is about as expensive as buying locally.
So, I guess I'll go with the Valentine versions.
