With so many new titles coming out daily, why is it there are hardly any that are vampire themed? Is it a forgotten theme?

My guess is that there is very little demand for it so most producers don't bother working it in to the usual rented mansion/sex on a couch theme.

I understand where you're coming from though, I too would like to see some more imagination in porn (vampires or otherwise).

And to a certain extent (in my mind) vampire themed porn brings about images of blood play, which I would rather skip.

I hope you find what you're looking for.

As an afterthought you may be able to find some vampire stuff if you look at cosplay.

Because blood kinda freaks a lot of people out. Plus, people do fine with coming up with some perplexing kinks and fetishes without porn contributing to the mix. Porn already gets blamed for everything bad that happens to anyone in the world. Don't give them any ammo.

I would think it is porn and storyline or themes that are not instantly grasped lose out.

But I really love the vampire theme, if you are into submissive themes it is ones of the hottest angles.

I used to watch the '90s version of Dark Shadows just to see the hotties tilt their head, expose their neck and offer Barnabas Collins their vein, it is one the most erotic things I ever saw on regular TV.

I also would love to read some Vampire Erotic that is a real story but XXX in nature as well.

uhh, didn't you create a similar thread a few months back?

i think vampire themed porn isn't that popular because it blends violence with sex, and that's bad.

no amount of romanticising the eroticism can justify the violent connotations of vampire porn.

i'm not saying that's my position, but it is a position.

I can appreciate what you wrote, but if I ever felt the line was crossed from fantasy to reality I was be repulsed.
I used to work with a girl who was into goth culture ( well as best as someone unsophisticated as myself, can detect ) and she would tell me her bf hurt her with vampire bites etc...
I really thought that was terrible.

If I see a movie where a girls limits or boundaries are crossed I would feel guilty, and trash it.

Fantasy is my only interest.

Or, rather, that's the position that a majority of people would take.

You do realize that you can still post in your older threads rather than starting up a new thread on the same subject every month or two, don't you?????

ahhhh...I distinctly remember some of my first unjaded adolescent throbbers were from browsing through my cousin's vast collection of Vampirella comics, and I never quite understood why.

The concept of a hot female being half sexual being / half monster has always been invigorating to me, but unles a film was done flawlessly, I doubt it would have much of an effect on me.

Well, you know....a lot of beautiful women would quality as irresistible bloodsuckers so it's not hard to see where the concept of a female vampire came from.

Exactly! Same here, that '90s version of Dark Shadows was a classic. The new series on Lifetime called "Blood Ties" is pretty good too. So many people think vampire erotica HAS TO BE blood and evil monsters, and forget vampire themes can be the most romantic loving themes ever offered.

Dark Shadows was a little of both, Blood Ties is a little of both, but it can be one heck of a good theme and it does not need to have blood to be suspensful and engaging. In this era of cookie cutter films where when you've seen one, you've seen them all (except the actors may change), vampire erotica offers a lot to the creative mind. I think there is a lot of room for exploration in the vampire erotica genre. In my mind (which is probably lost in the fog) there is no better combination.

Thanks for your feedback.

Thanks! What's cosplay? When I say vampire erotica I really mean romance and suspense, and a little submission and lust. I don't like the blood and gore either.

Thanks for your feedback!

And I thought no one noticed. Thanks! I see where you are coming from. Vampire erotica doesn't have to be violent though. Couldn't it be a love story?

Absolutely, fantasy is where it begins and ends. Your example takes it to the extreme. Some people are into that, but most are not.

I don't know how to do that, but since I seem to be the only one who writes about the erotic vampire topic I thought it's good to at least post a question from time to time to see if there is any interest, or to hopefully make a producer think "Now here's a great idea!". Wishful thinking, but I have to try. Just think, you might not see this topic again until Halloween (unless someone else brings it up)! :)

Short for costume play, but almost always abbreviated to cosplay.

I am not too familiar with cosplay but some of the people involved in that scene may be into the same stuff you are (or at least look as though they might be). I suggested it to you because it *might* be a starting point for some future research done by you.

i think the nature of vampirism is inherently violent. nobody likes the idea of sharp teeth near their genitals, or getting intense hickeys. well, that's an exaggeration, because i mean VERY FEW do. but it's enough to make the rest reluctant.

i'd watch it if it were shot by jules jordan.

I agree and do not care to see any blood or volence.

This like a 6 on a scale to 10for me. I have never studied them or the culture.

To me ithe hook , is a vampies mix of evil and inward struggle , chasing a hottie with that innocent virginal personia, which better in a long novel.

Lots of Barely Legal or 18 types could carry that role in the biz, but it is almost impossible to nail in a porn movie.
I maean I rather see 5 hot scenes than someone take stab at it.

Thank you for your feedback. I didn't know this and as you say it can be a reason why there isn't more vampire erotica out there being made. I would hope a xxx film could be made though that offered the right combination bringing the best of eroticism to the screen. Vampires on screen have been both monsters and incredible lovers. There's a lot of room for plots, imagination and sex brought to the screen here. It doesn't have to be violent, or gory to work. It just needs to be a little romantic!

Thanks again. Appreciate the feedback.

of course, you're right, but all you need to do is read through half of the other threads on this board to realise that 99% of pornographers don't care about good ideas, just easy ones that will sell big.

Greetings Dracula:
As one who also agree with you, there should be more adult movies with a vampire theme. As a woman, there was alway that attraction and sensuality which seeped out of all the vapires in any movie. I just watched Lifetime's Blood Ties and it reminded me for Forever Knight. I had the opportunity to speak with one of the Directors for Hustler Andrea Di Angelo http://www.dvdtalk.com/adult/kim_kardashian.html and he even agreed that a good vampire adult title will be hard to find especially with the limited budget some have to work with. You are correct there is alot of room for a good plot but right now you can only find such in print. Not to long away Private came out with a female version of Draculya which I reviewed http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=23814
and enjoyed it. I have seen a few adult titles with vampires in them but do no justice it the vampire persona. If you are interested you can check out http://www.midnightshowcase.com/Vamptations.htm and check out the vampire titles avaliable there. I am one of the many Vampire erotica Authors from MIdnight Showcase as well as part of a great team at DVDTAlk.

Thank you Ravyn for those links and for your comments. Those are interesting stories and movies. Draculya looks interesting.

Blood Ties captured a part of the suspense, romance and bite scene I feel are needed to make a good vampire film. When vampire Henry Fitzroy said to his victim "Romance is at the center of my world" he hit the nail on the head.

Thanks!
