That's why I kind of stopped caring about the award shows after a while and probably since 2020 when I finally started picking up on stuff. It's also why I kind of dread when my favorite stars win awards at these major award shows. Actually, this goes for anything. Not just the porn industry award shows. I'm talking Oscars, Golden Globes, Grammy's, Emmy's, and so on. There seems to be a curse with these awards. Well, the others I picked up on years ago, but around 2020 is when I started to pick up on the porn industry award shows. I definitely noticed stuff with Gianna Dior and Emily Willis. Gianna Dior slowly faded away each year, and now look where Emily Willis is. I have noticed a decline in Vanna as well. Also, it doesn't specifically have to be the FPOTY category. It can be for New Starlet. Plus the International categories as well. Maybe even if they win Best Scene. I noticed when Blake Blossom won New Starlet, she began to decline a little. Now we don't get scenes that often from her. But yeah. I kind of stopped caring about the award shows now, and sort of worry/dread when my favorites do win. I'm already worried about Anna Claire Clouds and Gal Ritchie/Gal Richie (however she is spelling her names these days) since they won FPOTY and New Startlet at the 2025 AVN Awards. I'm worried that the curse will kick in and cause them to decline. Plus it'll suck too because Anna has all these big plans because of winning. I feel the curse will prevent her from accomplishing what she wants to do next in the industry.
Gianna Dior is pretty much done with studio scenes (othe than old VMG scenes not released). She even slowed down putting out OF content. It's been a few months since anything new.
I don't know how that debunks my whole awards curse conspiracy theory. She was already declining before she focused more on Only Fans. To me, things still kind of point to her winning awards as to why she started declining. She was doing completely fine until she started winning awards.
As for Vanna, we don't know how old stuff is that is still being released. With it still being early 2025, all her stuff being released was probably filmed some time in 2024. And none of these sites ever list a specific filming date. All they do is list the year. And usually if you can see a copyright at the beginning or end of a scene, that's the year it was more than likely filmed in. Also, BangBros is a good site to check out for release dates. They are one of the few that still lists production date and one day you can have a scene that was filmed months ago, the next scene was filmed a month before it released, another just a few days to a week or two before it released, then the next scene was filmed 6-8 months before releasing, and so on. Plus star power doesn't really change stuff. They could hang on to a scene for months to almost a year for a star who is currently hot/trending. And with what I see BangBros do, I never really assume that 90-95% of the scenes were shot the same week they were released for any site/company. I usually assume 3-4 months minimum.
^ Not wanting to 'rain on your parade' but when you go back and look at the facts what you're saying just isn't true. Looking at the AVN top female pornstar award winners over the past few years I note: 2023 Kira Noir still going strong, 2022 Gianna Dior - since winning award has released about 150 scenes, 2021 Emily Willis - after winning the award in Jan 2021 released probably about 200 more scenes and has now stopped due to serious medical issues that are related to serious addiction issues not porn, 2018, 2019, 2020 Angela White - still going strong in 2025, 2017 Adrianna Chechik has slowed down in recent years but still released around 20 scenes in 2024, 2016 Riley Reid - has released hundreds of scenes in the following 6 or 7 years, 2015 Annika Albrite - has released hundreds of scenes in the following decade.
If you compared the output from these award winners over say the following 3 years with a random selection of pornstars who weren't award winners I bet you'd find that the girls above lasted longer and produced many more scenes than non-award winners.

Fascianting article on her in the X3 Magazine - apparently she's engaged to Codey Steele, dealt remarkably well with two of her male costars she shot with in the beginning dying shortly after the scenes. She says her body knows how to perform for the camera which allows her to focus on her scene partner - at 746 scenes, she could easily graduate from veteran to icon given how prolific she is. She also confirmed Gianna Dior is not performing anymore. Enjoy her while she is here because she doesn't plan on remaining in porn into her forties, doesn't see herself as a MILF performer.
