I apologize if this question has already been asked, but I was wondering if there are any sites out there with a lowest price search for adult VHS tapes (similar to the DVD price search here). Thanks in advance for any help.
www.iafd.com has reviews and often a selected list of vendor prices for VHS titles.
It's nowhere near as comprehensive a price comparison engine as the one here, and it doesn't do baskets, calculate in shipping price for basket totals, or any of that. For DVD's it's much better here.
However, they do often have reviews of DVD titles, usually in the VHS format, which haven't (yet) been reviewed here.
(As a general matter though, it has seemed to me that Jaded usually has the lowest or equally low prices on VHS -- at least among the handful of places which iafd usually lists. It also aparently has easily the largest stock. WHich doesn't mean they always have something that other places do, though.)
I realize on this site DVD is king, but in the rest of the world, it's still a bastard stepson. :-) (Tricia recenty estimated that DVDs only account for 20-30% of sales... that's not to say DVDs aren't far superior -- they're just not the market leader yet... but give it time...)
That being said, at this moment, we have 10,446 reviews in our database from about a dozen of the leading review sites (including this one).
Not to get into a pissing match, but we're partnered up with 16 vendors covering both VHS and DVD. I'm not sure how this counts as a "handful."
We have over 22,000 titles linked up to at least one vendor. In the VHS market, in particular (harder to deal with than DVD -- you'll notice every new vendor seems to be DVD-only to start, and only later on do they add tape -- and tape is still the pre-dominant format.) many older titles are unavailable or only available from one vendor. If we can help you find that one title, cool.
We deal with a lot of afficiandos who are looking for specific older titles, not necessarily the newest release from Wicked...
Our strength, tho, lies in our filmographies and reviews. We tend to not rely on boxcovers for castlists, but on "eyewitness" accounts, since there's nothing worse than seeing your fave starlet's name on the box and have her show in a non-sex role -- or worse, not at all!
