I have several tapes I would like to convert to DVD but the record tab on the VHS tape is missing is missing. Can I still convert them to DVD?

#2 The "tab" on the VHS tape, when snapped-off leaving a hole, is to prevent accidentally recording over the tape itself. It has nothing to do with your ability to play the tape back (so that you can dub it onto DVD).
