I took video on my phone from an app called AZ Screen Recorder. The video plays perfectly but the problem is there is no sound. I transferred the video to my laptop. Is there any possible way to retrieve the sound somehow? Any suggestions would be great help, thank you!

I have to ask an obvious question. Was audio playing on the phone's loudspeaker when you recorded the video or were you using earphones in the process?

If it's the latter, you're probably out of luck with the audio since smartphone recording apps tend to use the microphone to record the audio from the phone's loudspeaker.

No neither of those. I just recorded from the app and was disappointed when there was no sound. I didn't know the app wouldn't record the sound.

I don't remember, I don't even have the phone anymore, it broke. The video is on my laptop and plays perfectly but without sound.

According to the developer's page on the app, it only records the screen. The app doesn't record audio, so there isn't any to retrieve.

Are we all on the same page?

According to the Google Play Store, AZ Screen Recorder (by Hecorat) says audio is recorded via the microphone. I used the app myself months ago and recorded audio with it.

I Google searched the app and found the page about it on a website the developer operates. This wasn't based on Google Play info.

I guess I never turned on the microphone or forgot to accept the app permission to record sound. I don't remember cuz it was almost two years ago.
