I'm toying with the idea of picking up a couple of Video-X-Pix titles but can't find much information on them. Has anyone here seen Dirty Lilly , The Love-In Arrangement or Slippery When Wet ?

I've found a couple of reviews of the latter but they weren't particularlty useful.

I haven't seen LOVE-IN ARRANGEMENT, but DIRTY LILLY isn't that great. The best thing about it is non-sex actress Molly Malone, one of Chuck Vincent's favorites. If you like Bethanna, you might enjoy it, as she's in every sex scene, but otherwise it's pretty unmemorable and unfortunately not as funny as Vincent is trying for. For a better Vincent film along the same lines, check out BAD PENNY with Samantha Fox, a genuinely funny little flick.

SLIPPERY WHEN WET is a wonderful film following the sex lives of three friends, including sexually repressed artist Annie Sprinkle, unhappily married C.J. Laing, and philandering Hope Stockton, all tied together by nymphomaniac model Crystal Sync. Director Joe Sarno's softcore work is truly exceptional, always featuring heavy emphasis on characterization and acting and fluid, voyeuristic cinematography. The translation to hardcore is just as great, though the man himself apparently doesn't think so. Annie Sprinkle and C.J. Laing give surprisingly strong performances, considering their reputations as non-actresses, and Crystal Sync is wonderful as usual. Whatever happened to Hope Stockton? She was great in everything she did as well! There is a lot of sex, which can sometimes be overwhelming, but tied to a strong script and great performances, it all works beautifully. Video-X-Pix also offers SLEEPYHEAD, another Sarno hardcore classic, which I highly recommend. But my personal favorite Sarno hardcore film is THE TROUBLE WITH YOUNG STUFF, which VCX offers on DVD.

Lovely. I've got Bad Penny although I haven't actually watched it yet.

I wasn't wildly impressed by Sleepy Head but think the current DVD is cut, which obviously isn't going to help. I'm going to get Slippery When Wet and possibly The Trouble with Young Stuff . Is the VCX disk any good?

BAD PENNY is quite good, you should check it out. If you're still angling for a Video-X-Pix Chuck Vincent film: JACK 'N' JILL is his comic masterpiece, and MISBEHAVIN' is a simply delightful Leslie Bovee vehicle.

SLEEPY HEAD may be missing footage, but I can't really tell. I personally love the film, as it features Tina Russell's only good acting job. I think you'll enjoy SLIPPERY WHEN WET, it's a more well-rounded feature than HEAD and the cast is great. The most memorable scene finds Annie Sprinkle being sexually liberated by a giant keelbasa (sp?). Sarno's films are definitely an acquired taste, though. VCX's TROUBLE WITH YOUNG STUFF looks good and doesn't seem to be cut (it's a very long film!); it's my pick for Sarno's best hardcore film. It features some of the best New York cult starlets, including Marlene Willoughby, Nancy Dare, Crystal Sync, and Jenny Baxter, and takes an interesting approach by telling the story of three working-class best friends living in a brownstone in Queens whose lives are disrupted by the arrival of Sync's nymph cousin Baxter.
