Check out these YouTube vids. No need to watch the full duration, only enough to notice the camera position/angle. In the "Mina" video, skip forward to beyond the 1:00 mark. In the "Anna" video, the 1:25 - 1:35 segment is of special interest regarding how much closer she gets (compared to the "Mina" vid) to the camera without cutting off the bottom of the subject.
Can someone tell me how these videos are made? I'm guessing the camera is really low, almost on the floor. But is that the only "trick"? Is there some special lens being used? Is it aimed at an upward angle or is it level?
Thanks for the help!

I couldn't see the second video, but the first didn't look unusual to me. It just looks like they positioned the video camera on the floor with the zoom lens on wide. You can see a little wide angle distortion in the curve of the door frame. The easiest thing to do is just try it.

^I don't have a camera. I want to have some amateur girls make custom videos for me in that style, so I'm gonna need to provide them basic instruction on how to accomplish it. That's why I ask.

^ If you have a cellphone camera, you could play with it like it was a video camera. I wouldn't expect too much from "amateur girls". You'll have to keep it VERY BASIC. Not because they're not capable, but filming yourself is harder than you think.
One problem you can expect is they won't have any way to see themselves being filmed unless they have a front facing video display. Both the lens and the display/viewfinder need to be facing the same direction if they're going to be able to keep themselves in the field of view. Most compact video camcorders have screens that swivel so you can orient it so the girls can see themselves. You can try having them look in a mirror to view the viewfinder, but it's very difficult. A more complicated way is connect the camcorder to a second monitor like a TV or computer that can be watched while the camera films the scene. Some POV producer/performers use this method.
I suggest borrowing a video camera from a friend and experiment. However, there are good reasons why production companies have directors and camera operators......good luck.

^OK thanks Rod for the info/advice.
I'm only dealing with girls who already have some pre-made videos for sale, so, with luck, that should weed out the totally unequipped/incompetent ones.
Right, but the shame of it is the production companies and their cookie-cutter factory porn procedures lack imagination and generally can't get it right (in my opinion). So the next thing to try is custom and niche productions; maybe I'll have better luck with them.

You could point them to the youtube videos that show the view you want when describing it.

^ If you're dealing with girls that are already making videos you should expect to get better results. I'm back to my suggestion to play with your cellphone or borrow a camera to play with. If you find one with a zoom capability, zoom wide and see what you get. Then, send the girls the links you posted and tell them what you like and don't like in your samples. Good luck.
