Porn on bluray is a great thing because of how well the films are scanned and the vintage era has great atmosphere and stories. I welcome any additions and hope that this can be maintained as well for a buying guide. The parameters are as followed: Filmed material ending with roughly the end of the 80's time frame. I consider it a rival as a more complete enjoyable film like Misty Beethoven. It certainly has similar themes even though it is not as much the conventional happy ending. [Link] |

It would have made the end with Jamie Gillis that much better. It is tacked on to Barbara Broadcast and quite frankly makes no sense. The terrible People's Court theme and it going on and on and being pretty much torture, takes so much away. I agree with Constance Money when she not only complains about her treatment, but the fact that when it was used, it made absolutely no sense. At least Maraschino Cherry tried to incorporate the matador footage a little better. Getting to Barbara Broadcast, the thing I enjoyed about the movie is C.J. Laing's scene. My goodness was she smoking hot. Not only was it not your usual average joe fucking her (though nothing wrong with that either), but it had a sexual allure that make the whole damn thing just so memorable. I still appreciate the other scenes, and despite Constance's akward scene there was still something arousing about it, and with some editing as opposed to just thrown out there like an outtake (which it is) and most of all incorporation, it could have worked so much better. Mary Mary is truly the crown jewel of the three in my opinion. While Beethoven has the most extras (fantastic making of with write ups with Jamie Gillis and Constance Money...etc.) and is the better film, it also suffers from the bad 5.1 audio that uses a authoring choice vs accuracy to the original material. If a HD mono or stereo track would have been included, I could have forgiven it. I also cannot help disliking the color choices and cropping. While it is an improvement of what came before, when you see the full frame restoration and original color untouched vs the greenish blah image...it is a shame. That said, for fans of the film, buy it anyway, because it still looks the best that I have ever seen!! Getting back, Mary! Mary! while being devoid of the same height of story does have a better scan, no tampering that I can tell, and most importantly has a better demeanor from Constance, better acting, and most importantly better sex (from her end). Leslie has his own style, but I always like Gillis better because of his edgy nature, but there is something about the semi-dark story of Mary! Mary! and the all around joyful party scene that at least put it up there when it comes to her. When it comes to Constance, this was a pretty cool one looking good. I want more! [Link] |
