It's usually interesting to look back at the way we were. I'm looking for sites that have decent archives of really early porn from the 1800s up til' the 1920s. Any suggestions?

I don't know about sites, but there are DVDs available. The most famous is probably THE GOOD OLD NAUGHTY DAYS, which has some pretty shocking content.

You might try Retro Porn Archive and Vintage Classic Porn.
The first one says it has more than 70 movies from the 10's and 20's.
I know there are more sites like these but I can't locate them at the moment.

Alex De Renzy's History of the Blue Movie is still a great compilation of old loops. Cult Epics also have a very good series of loops collected by decade called Vintage Erotica Anno 30s, 40s, 50s and even 70s.

^ Actually the old loops are full of the same stuff you see in modern gonzo, full hardcore scenes, anal, threesomes, lesbian and some stuff you rarely see today like bixsexual sex scenes with men, etc.

Wasn't there a well off Frenchman who died some time back who's family had discovered he had these films dating back to around the nineteen teens?
I think some of the oldest material comes from this.
