Initial brain tests performed on her show that the side of her brain that controls walking and speaking is unresponsive, but other parts of her brain register activity. It sounds like, if she does manage to pull through, her life will be very very different from here on out. The recent updates now say that the report that it was a drug overdose is unconfirmed. People with info about her final evening and hours can send information to 27325@lapd.online according to the report from Gustavo XBIZ. Since I don't know the conclusive details around her last moments beyond what has been reported on social media, I don't want to seem like I am speculating too much. However, I cannot help but think that maybe her life would have had a better chance of being saved if her "friends" and others at the party had responded better, for example offering CPR immediately while she was unresponsive and calling for EMS at the overdose location instead of driving her in a private vehicle to a Boyle Heights hospital and dropping her off like dirt. Being in the healthcare field I know that anoxic brain injury for just five minutes is enough to cause permanent neuron death and recovery beyond that is rarely heard of. It all seems so sad and potentially avoidable to me; maybe the LAPD investigation will reveal more details but perhaps we will never know. Hopefully more info will be gleaned and posted to provide some closure to her friends and loved ones. RIP to one of the best new performers of the decade. [Link] |
