I know VR is in its infancy, but you think porn lovers like us would be early adopters. I just started to play around with cardboard on my J7 (which I dont think supports VR with respect to head movement). In any event, I have access to a naughty america file on Lana Rhoades, and moved it to my cell phone. It is an MP4 and I played it with a generic MP4 player on the phone and with the carboard, I could see it in 3D (of course perspective didn't change with my head movement). It was pretty interesting, and showed the power of where this may go. If I had a higher end phone that supported VR, what is the process ? Move the MP4 files over to my cell phone and play it with a VR player app ? Then if I move th head the perspective changes ? Are VR files just MP4 files ? I would have guessed that it would need to be a different file format to contain all that data. Thanks....  [Link] |

And whether head movement is supported actually isn't about the phone, it's about the app you use. Most phones nowadays have the necessary equipment to do it. And how is having to tilt your head to look slightly down or up to a partial picture better than just letting your eye look slightly down or up on a full picture? I understand that people who can only watch porn by sneaking into the bathroom with their 4-5" smartphones are frustrated that even by glueing that tiny screen to their face might not be a good enough zoom on the action. But how do you sneak the VR cardboard into the bathroom every time? And how do you figure that's the normal use case for VR porn? I'm sorry but there is nothing there that you couldn't get from watching fullsized 4k porn up close on a 60"+ tv where the tna already becomes larger than life, it's another fad/gimmick just like 3D. POV porn is already pretty darn simple: the camera position is fixed and there's really only one thing it should be aimed at: the girl. Pitching the camera around isn't going to show you anything you weren't seeing before unless you want to look at the furniture. And the appeal of POV will always be limited: I don't know about you but when I'm fucking I end up wishing I had detachable eyeballs so I could observe the action from a better (pornish?) angle. In my VAST 24 hours of experience with cardboard VR, all the scenes I have seen are incredibly repetitive. They are all POV and even more limited than conventional POV in that the guy is simply on his back. For me, the only good thing about conventional POV was it would lend itself to good eye contact between the actress and camera during the blow job. I cant comment on if head tracking will add anything to the experience, as this didnt work for me regardless of what video player I installed on my phone (it is a J7 which isnt listed as supported for the galaxy gear, and there is no gyroscope). HOWEVER, I did really think the 3D aspect of it was amazing, even on the lowliest of hardware (google cardboard and a cell phone). The first few scenes I saw were not impressive, but I am a huge lana fan so i loved her scene. When she bent over and you could see her ass and pussy in 3D, it was to me much better than conventional 2D. When she would dangle her tits in front of the camera it was awesome. And the best for me was when she was her lovingly starring into the camera with one of the guys balls in her mouth. Alos, in one part her hair was moving around, it just looked so real. So Hoochiemamma, my question for you is this. did you not get anything out of the 3D experience ? And as a general question for someone who never had a 3D TV, head tracking aside, is the 3D with VR comparable to the 3D for TV? I mean, I know 3D TV is dying, but if there could be 3D TV with the same quality as the VR 3D quality, and instead of a fucking VR headset I could wear simple 3D goggles, that would be insanely awesome, and likely way cheaper than a high end VR setup (of course no head tracking with the TV, but I dont think its necessary personally) Thanks, [Link] |

One thing I find funny is that the very things I used to find boring in regular porn (solo scenes and straight porn scenes) I find to be really exciting in VR porn! Keep in mind I have cardboard, and not a real setup, so I know they are vastly different. But since you love it so much, can you tell me what is best about it ? is it being able to move your head and see different things giving added realism ? Or is it the fact that it is 3D ? Cause I kinda compare VR to 3D TV/Movies . I know 3D movies still exist, but you cant really even get any 3D TVs anymore. I was hoping they would start filiming TV shows in 3D, but the whole thing just went away it seems. From my limited experience with 3D TV and VR, is the only major difference between then the moving your head thing ? In other words, is 3D porn viewed on the TV or monitor any different than VR porn other than the perspective changing when the head moves ? For now I think it would be great to be able to watch 3D porn with the the relative simplicity of 3D glasses instead of VR porn with the complexity of all that gear. noname [Link] |

It is like having a real woman in front of you (visually at least). I don't think that being able to move your head around plays that much of a role in this but I could be wrong. The idea behind VR porn (and Virtual Reality in general) is the ability to simulate presence, or basically the feeling of being there. That's the basic difference between 3D and VR. To put it in simple terms, 3D at its best was like a play that was happening in front of you. VR at its best is like a play that is happening around you. That's why even the simple ability to move your head is important, as being able to look around the room adds to the feeling of being there. It's why, to go back to the earlier argument, it doesn't really matter if the camera position is similar to a POV scene, because very few people are going to watch a 2D POV scene and say that they felt like they were there. Now, if you go in looking for flaws, they are there and there are more than a few of them., but the tech is there right now for a basic feeling of presence if you allow yourself to be immersed in it.
