Sandy does hardcore : Post R18 but sound is mostly music only.

Bubblegum Babes 4 : When you get Hot Babe Seduction you will see it carrys a 15 minute extra 'the making of Jo's Sexy College Diaries'. This making of footage is post R18. However, it is not actually footage from Jo's Sexy College Diaries. It seems to be from Bubblegum Babes 4 which must therfore be post R18. No idea if there are no.s 1 to 3 although one would presume so, but no idea if pre or post R18. Someone else will have to fill that info in.

The Best of Bubblegum Babes : is post R18.

Jo's Sexy College Diaries : Although this has got the 'Club' logo on the box, it is a post R18 title. Fantastic girls, lingerie and outfits. This is the one for you to get next. On the extras screen it has 'the making of Jo's Sexy College Diaries 2' but don't believe a word of it. When it runs from the menu the short is titled 'the making of Jo's Sexy College Diaries'. Not that it is though. It is the same as the one on Hot Babe Seduction ie 'the making of Bubblegum Babes 4'. Confused ? Viv obviously was ! Anyway, Jo's Sexy College Diaries has screen cover ads for Busty Fuckers (why it is necessary to have crude names for the films I don't know); Heels and Hose, Hardcore Harem, Sex Analyst and Pink Velvet. No idea if these are post R18 but would guess so. Someone else needs to give that info.

Outakes and Making ofs : Some Viv DVD's have got outakes and making of's. These show a much more natural impression of the girls and are excellent. Viv ought to make these a lot longer or put out a special. Anyone know how to communicate that to the studio ?

Quality : The LezLove reviews of Hot Babe Seduction pretty much sums up most of the Viv films. Viv ought to spend a lot longer on the lingerie and undressing (a common complaint of many studios : see other threads but more of a serious problem on this style of film which is more sexy than full on hardcore). The background music is also a bit of a spolier. Again, this info could usefully be fed back to Viv.

Sound : Tip for sound. Get a smarter TV. On many of the scenes across the various Viv DVD's, the sound goes out on two tracks; one music and one vocal. Some TV's will switch between dual A and B and this will turn the DVD from a bit lousy in places, due only to the loud music, to great. Our bedroom TV which does this cost £200. Would I spend £200 if I didn't already have this to get the music out of Jo's Sexy College Diaries onto vocal only. Given that it works on quite few DVD's and makes them all 10 times better, you're damn right we would. Viv, the consumers are telling you something...

Finally, if you like Viv's stuff, you need to look at a.e.r (adult entertainment robot vol 1) where there is exellent sound, and a bit more time (but still not enough) is spent on the lingerie and undressing.

Started watching "Young lesbian love" and it's great : spectacularly beautiful girls, superior image quality, perfect lighting, colours, editing, etc... This is really top notch stuff. OK the sex is only slightly more adventurous than softcore (close-ups, finger penetration, pussy licking, etc...) but it's still very hot.

I can't praise this DVD highly enough, it's probably the best porn DVD I've ever seen period. Some of the pussy close ups and pussy licking are incredible, plus the actresses are gorgeous, the setups are luxurious, each scene has a great little story and the acting is first rate.

There are a few problems though.

Firstly the sound, I can't get ANY sound in some of the scenes (tried on my DVD player, and on a laptop). This might be a setup problem. Some of the scenes start with no sound and then you get it halfway through the scene.

Secondly, there is colour bleed present (rarely), I think I noticed this because most of the time the image is flawless.

Can't wait to watch my other Viv Thomas DVDs, I'll definitely keep you all posted!

"Sammy Jo's harcore harem" is excellent but perhaps not quite as good as Young Lesbian Love, still it's better than 99% of porn out there, definitely a keeper

There are lots of toys used, so it's a nice change from "Young Lesbian Love" (no toys, just slim candles inserted in one scene), and there's a bit of anal penetration ( a bit tame by current standards) and ass licking.

The girls are all spectacular, although I don't fancy Trixi (who's in several Red Light District titles) as much as the others because of her tatoos.

I now have Young Lesbian Love. From a quick initial scan through the DVD there are no sound problems on my copy of the disc. I will report further if I learn otherwise later on.

I do not know if you got Jo's College Diairy yet, but again, from a quick scan I think that one does have the edge. My initial take is based less on the action, which I have yet to consider, but the quality of the production which I think is a very large factor. I think there are a lot of shadows on YLL. It is as if the lighting man forgot to get on the bus and they went ahead without him !

I also saw both the Young Lesbian Lust DVD's which you (thoughfully) clarified were not the one you were referring to. Both are R18 but I gave them a wide berth since I wondered if there was a good reason you were careful to distinguish them. I thought I would ask you if there was ? Personally, I wondered if the single DVD is a comilation of the others ?

I do think there might be such a thing as a bad VT DVD. I got Tit Teaser Files which I won't go into detail about unless you wish me to but, in a nutshell, although it is not totally devoid of redeeming features there are probably better ways of spending the cash;

Jo is certainly also Hot Babe Seduction, Pink Velvet and Young Lesbian Love, but not in every scene. I also think (but would first check) Bubblegum Babes 4.

By 'XXX' I presume you mean before it was cut into R18 ? On the melon farmers site, there is no entry referring to cuts in Jo's Sexy College Diaries but I would not like to say that is an exhaustive list, to the extent that if it is not in the list, then it has not been cut. Like I suspect you also do, I think that normally a cut would not excise a whole scene. Where did you see the trailor to which you refer ? What I do know, and you can check out above, is that VT is hopeless with his trailers - this is a possible, if not probable, explanation for what you have seen.

I've got the R18 versions and they ARE hardcore (penetration, pussy close-ups, etc...). It's just that the movie has been submitted to British censors to get this rating, sometimes stuff is cut out, sometimes not. Sometimes the title is changed "Teenage seduction" became "Hot babe seduction" perhaps they were worried about underage undertones...

The R18 rating legally allows Viv Thomas to sell their DVD/Videos in licensed Sex Shops in the UK.

I've looked at the sound again on YLL. Do you mean the vocal sound track comes and goes (as opposed to the background music) ? All scenes on my disc have consistent music, so if yours does not then that is something to look at (either set up or defective disc). However, on my disc, the vocal soundtrack cuts in and out on some scenes and is completely non-existent in some. If that is not a disc error then without any sounds from the girls in so many places, this would count as major failing in my book.

Pink Velvet is looking good so far; better lighting than YLL (but not as good as JSCD) and the sound is a better balance between music and the vocal track than YLL. The babydoll top is out of this world; it's just a shame it does not stay on longer !

@Sbando Boy :

Your site looks terrific and works well. With the new updates you have put on today it is even more magnificent ! I am not sure how you define 'soft'. Although it is hardly strong stuff, Jo's College Diary is nevertheless R18.

I did look at you site before your update today to try and check who your reference to Monica was. I did not recognise the picture. I put this down to the fact that she has not got a hot babe hanging off her so that kind of threw me a bit !

The problem I have with Viv Thomas' video work is that it's always so complicated to tell which version you're going to get. His site is full of explicit photosets. Pink Velvet is very good. Main complaint is the wasted opportunity on the lingerie front, but isn't that true of most everything ? My other grumble is the DVD authoring in the chapter divisions which is bizarre. But the girls look fab and the filming, lighting and sound is better than YLL I think.

I saw a trailer for SW&V and it did indeed look good. However, given our recent experiences I will await your fuller report before investing !

Also I await your views on JSD compared to the other titles. It is less detailed than PV but overall I still think it is the best so far when considering all the different aspects.

Also, a bit OT but I mentioned Adult Entertainment Robot Vol 1 earlier in the thread which is 5 scenes (2 GGGG; 1 BBGGG; 2 BG) which I still think is something you may want to check out.

Vidshop have the reputation of being dodgy, so I'd be careful in ordering from them. Unfortunately I can't say nice things for Viv Thomas own online shop either, I'm currently having problems with them, which hopefully will be resolved soon...

I now buy my Viv Thomas DVDs from Soho Original Bookshop in Soho, London (thanks again to Z for the tip!), but I understand this is only feasible if you visit London. They sell Viv Thomas DVDs for £19.95 or £50 for 3 DVDs.

Just got a letter from Viv Thomas, they have re-credited my credit card for my missing order. Actually looking back the fault was more with the local post office than with them. I just experienced a similar problem ordering a mainstream DVD pack from Play247.com, the nice thing about Play247 is you can track your order on their website so that's what I did. Again the postie allegedly tried to deliver and #1 didn't ring (I was home at delivery time) and #2 did not leave a delivery notice. This is how I lost the Viv Thomas DVD which was sent back to Holland.

I'd reorder from Viv Thomas in future if I get the chance, although with a good source in Soho I don't need to, but if I ever move outside London, I'll order from them no problem.
