There are some VOD sites that offer both download and streaming. Some scenes are offered in streaming only, while others are available streaming or downloadable (at different prices); the buyer chooses which. So...why is this? Are they too lazy to encode everything into downloadable format? Or is there some copyright issues where the "owner" of some scenes want it to never be owned by anyone? Just curious. Yeah I know there are ways to "capture" streaming video into a file, but this is just about why does this difference exist? And it's frequently obscure one-off scenes that are not sliced from a DVD, which have the streaming-only limitation. I will never buy a VOD that I'm forced to watch online. [Link] |
