Gang,

There is a new e-mail worm doing its dirty deeds. I think at least some ADT'ers must be infected since my ADT account is getting bombarded lately. Here is some info:

If you think you have this worm, here is a URL with info on how to remove this critter!

Every fucking day I get at least five to ten of them, all deleted without opening. And Virus software is constantly updated, and I always scan my system for any unusual changes.

But if I remember correctly, *.PIF files are usually not the things you want to open, save, or run?

PIF files allow for changes to the Windows environment, so you are correct, they are NOT stuff you want to open (double click) unless you know what they are, why you need them, and trust who they are from. And "trust" does not mean an unsolicitied e-mail that says it's from Microsoft or anyone else.

This is so true, when I first got an email from "support@microsoft.com" or something like that, I thought why in the fuck would Microsoft send an email to my AdultDVDtalk.com email account?

So I just deleted it, as I do with every one of those listed subject lines. And yes, I've gotten 'em all, and still get 'em.

I get these things daily and delete them all. There is another subject line, I can't remember it off the top of my head though.

Oops! Forgot to add, the virus has multiple subject lines. The 'sender' is either support or bill @microsoft.com

I used to be flooded by 50 of them everyday but ~3 days ago it just stopped. Is it the same for everybody?
