A month later I still dont have anything, no word from the post office. I'm from australia, does any else outhere experiencing the same problem.

thanks

I placed an order with 5-Star a week or so after Sept 11, it was shipped on the 20th of September and arrived just fine on the 2nd or 3rd of October.

More recently I placed another order, which was shipped on the 4th of October, which has not yet arrived. 5-star Orders usually take a week or just a day or two over a week to arrive, so this order is now realistically a week overdue.

At the same time I placed an order with Laser's Edge, shipped on the 3rd of October. Laser's Edge Orders usually take just under 3 weeks to arrive, making it due around about today/tomorrow.

With the current postal Anthrax scares, I can see the international mail system being severely clogged as packages are subject to much more scrutiny then in the past. There have been a number of others waiting on late orders, as shown in the other thread in this forum "Anybody still waiting for an order that's late?".

I'd send an email to 5-Star to let them know the status of your order, and keep an eye on this forum for another week or two to see if people's packages start to trickle through. (yes I know exactly how much that sucks, I'm waiting on an order with 13dvds in it :( )

I'm also in Australia, in Melb.

keep us updated on your order, and keep looking on this forum to see if/when other's orders show up.

[edit - quoting a message from the other thread, by "curious", located in the UK - Looks like things are showing up, albeit quite late, which is understandable]

I'm right next door to the US (Canada) and 5 star told me my 3 discs shipped on Oct. 10, today is the 23rd and still no package. The anthrax scare, as far as I know have all been envelopes, not packages. Why our packages are being help up is anyones guess. I have also ordered via Global Priority before, and it never took more than 6 or 7 days. This is my first order from 5 star, and I know it's not their fault, but if the mail keeps going the way it is now, mail order companies will be hit hard, and I would not be surprised to see some go out of business because of this.
People are afraid they won't get their merchandise, and rightly so. Look at all of us on this board still waiting for packages that should have been here weeks ago.

My guess is that a package can hold a lot more nasty stuff than an envelope can. I'm sure the US Govt/USPS wants to stop the proliferation of nasty shit around the world, I'm not especially clear in the means used to handle anthrax, etc, but I'd imagine a GPM box worth of the stuff could set someone up nicely to start their own campaign of letters, wherever it arrives in the world.
My orders usually take around the same. Usually just over a week, because my orders tend to get shipped on a friday and therefore they eat two weekends. This is to Australia.

As for seeing mail order companies get hurt by this, I think that's the truth. Thpugh I for one stop ordering stuff around this time of year, because the Christmas Mail Frenzy is really the worst time of year to order things through the international post if you don't want your stuff stolen.

Whats interesting is that my last order, made and sent after Sep11 made it here in 8 days, suggesting to me that USPS is starting to slow down/check more carefully/etc since more Anthrax cases have been reported..

Hey Guys.. Long time no see :-) ..Hi Scipio whats up mate, Just thought i would add, i also have a fivestar order over due, by some time. I'm In NZ and Global Priority normally takes 1-2 weeks max, but its going on 4 now. Five star are pretty good though they normally look after you, if there are major dramas. just thought i would add my 2 cents woorth.

Hi guys--

I just got my 5star shipment that was sent out to me on the 10th of October, it got here today (20 days later) but what matters is that it got here. I had to pay $12.00 Canadian duty for the dvds that were $44.00 US, but I did not mind seeing as how I'm happy I finally got my discs. Now I am waiting for the 3rd disc that was shipped separately (about 1 week ago).

Hiya Mantiz,

Any sign of your Fivestar order yet, bro?

56k? Have yours turned up yet?

As I mentioned in a different post, mine did show up, and I've placed another order which was sent off from them last friday, so when they turn up I'll let the forum know when and the latest delivery time.

cheers,

scipio

Hi Scipio.. Nah never turned up mate.. But they resent about 2 days ago so will cross my fingers for a delivery this side of xmas, all going well should turn up next week or early the week after, if previous global priority times are anything to go by, Gotta say five star have been real good about it though, I will let you know when-if it arrives :-)

Well, the order I placed with 5-star, sent on Friday the 2nd of November arrived this morning, Saturday 10th November (Saturday delivery yet, which is extremely unusual in itself).

So 8 days.

cheers,

Hey Mantiz,

Turns out I'm heading back to Aotearoa in several weeks, so if you feel like it drop me an email at grendel_nz@yahoo.com.au so I can interrogate you about some stuff.

cheers,

scipio

Even within the states mail has been slowed considerably.

I had a package that was shipped Oct 25th that didn't arrive until Nov. 10th. Typically it would have arrived in 2-3 days.

Sweet as scipio, sent you an email mate. If you want me to organise another orgy for you it might take a few weeks to get the hoe's organised, last time you didint pay them, so now the words out, may have to settle for 5 girls this time. :-)
