Microsoft is attempting to set the standard for HD-DVD encoding with their WindowsMedia9 technology. SurferPictures.com You can download some clips to check out the quality, though I read some more about the technology and it said if you're using a CRT monitor you won't see much of a difference. Looks like this production company is in Hawaii, pretty locations. I'd like to see some gonzo using this technology, i don't watch porn to see white sand beaches and palm trees. One thing struck me when checking these movies out, sunrise Also, for the time being, the WindowsMedia9 HD-DVD format will only work on Windows PC's, you can't play them on your home DVD player yet though somebody posted that there is one DVD player now that can play them. | *Mutt* Deactivated User 752 Posts 8/03 | Posted - Sep 27 2003 : 2:06AM you're welcome Saki! good article. can you explain what the 24p digital cameras are and how much they cost? there is a new Panasonic camera i hear people talking about that supposedly shoots video that is 'film like'. i kinda agree with you that this film-ish rich look might not look right with gonzo. Though the RLD movies dont have a grungy raw edgy gonzo look to them. And u can shoot with the best most expensive 35 or 75 mm film cameras and get a raw 'amateur' look to a movie if that's what you want. As for Playboy saying that there is a case to be made that when you're dealing with nude bodies there is such a thing as too much definition. There are all sorts of tricks mainstream Hollywood cinematographers use to make people look pretty when their faces are in close-up three stories tall so that wrinkles, blemishes etc aren't so noticeable.
