What I have discovered though in the last few years is scenes were shot mch longer in the years she was contracted to Wicked. So they used to cut down the scenes she was in to almost nothing 3-5 minutes so they could fit in more (weak) story. I would much prefer more of the sex, Jenna was no one's idea of an outstanding actress.
I welcome more of the uncut Jenna sex scenes that have made their way online and I wouldve preferred if the movies that came in the 90s had more of this footage, it is great for fans (I am one) that it is now being made available.

So, I got into porn viewing Jenna's prime. I had never watched any of her scenes, but always heard the sentiment of "looks good, underwhelming performer". I will say when I finally got around to watching Flashpoint, I was impressed by her scenes. Foe me the sad thing about this discussion is not how Jenna is viewed but that the state of the industry is such that if she were starting in the industry then she would likely not even be remembered a decade from now.
The term 'overrated' doesn't really apply to Jenna because I don't think she was rated highly as a performer in the first place. Certainly if you look at her scenes, you may be disappointed with the lack of interracial and copious condom usage but I think that was driven in part by her ties to Vivid / Wicked studios. If she had become an Anabolic performer we'd be having a different conversation.
She was gorgeous with an amazing body and she had mainstream appeal from her performances on the Howard Stern radio show and in his movie, Private Parts. To that extent, she is significant in porn history for turning pornstars into celebrities. I didn't see a lot of her work at the time because I was more into the gonzo movies during that period, but she put in a memorable performance in 'The Wicked One' where she showed off some decent acting chops and some raunchy scenes with John Dough and Tiffany Million.
i am currently watching every wicked movie ever in chronological order. something changed when she arrived and began shooting for them. i felt like i was watching it in real time * i was 8 when she debuted* but there was something so different that made her stand out from all the other feature girls. she has \had an undeniable x factor. not the greatest body\physique. a gorgeous face but maybe not the prettiest of her day either. just a combination though of a great face great breasts great ass and that special something. i was skeptical but once i began my experiment i can see why she transcended into the pop culture zeitgeist and i am amazed by her! she was so charming and her sex was def. pretty good and fairly nasty at times. i cant define any of it in specifics but i see why now and totally understand the hype and the fame.
marilyn chambers was a legit mainstream model. did not age well no but no denying her beauty. chaisey lane the first wicked girl was a 10 out of 10 facially. janine was stunning and looked pretty close facially to the fashion models of her time in her early days. ginger lynn like marilyn chambers people think of them as middle aged from their comebacks but she was facially on par with jenna. there are golden age enthusiasts who will list buckets of equally beautiful women before jenna i am sure.
agree with the debi diamond love. she looked amazing and was in fact a lot more hardcore and gonzo in the earliest days of wicked. i feel like her and tiffany mynx were robbed of mainstream superstardom by jenna. they were the it girls of wicked before 1995 then bam blown off the screen and into gonzo. sucks to be them lol :)

Maybe it might just be a case of she came along at the right time? For the style of porn in the 90s and early 00s, She had the look, blonde hair, big boobs (and they were a spectacular boob job), skinny but curvy, very few tattoos. She became a brand.

interestingly enough she never won avn performer of the year. i found a wikipedia page that lists every female performer of the year winner and was more than surprised. kaitlyn ashley won in 96 and missy won in 97. fellow wicked girl stephanie swift won in 98. still very surprising those last 2 ladies won over her at the height of jenna mania. i realize the avn awards are very political especially today but clearly back then as well. that is a great bit of trivia to test other adult film fans with lol.
