Hi All,

Does anyone have any idea why Wash West's "Animus" and "Naked Highway" have not been released on DVD? For that matter, does anyone have any idea why Jerry Douglas' "Family Values" and "Flesh and Blood," both with that yummy Kurt Young, as well as "More than a Man" with Joey Stefano don't seem to have made it to DVD either? Any thoughts and ideas from anyone?

I'm thinking Family Values might be a bit risky in this climate, considering it does have a little bit of incest thrown in there (storyline wise at least). I actually think Family Values has to be one of the better directed and better acted gay adult features out there, and I think it needs to be out.

A lot of Wash Wests stuff is suprisingly vanished. The only thing I could find of his was the Softcore version of The Hole and his Mainstream movie Fluffer.

Thanks for the responses. All of these are movies which sound very good, well above average, yet they are not out on DVD. I've gotten rid of all my VHS tapes and will soon probably ditch my Video player itself. So, it would be nice to see them out on DVD.

I did check out Wash West's other personae. He's been a busy little boy. His other names are pretty funny, too: Bud Light and Bobby Dazzler. It did seem that the movies he has made under other names might not be quite as sharp and interesting as his previous ones under his Wash West identity.

One can only hope that the top quality older movies by Wash West and Jerry Douglas will one day make it to DVD.

It's a bit dated, but I loved 'Florida Erection' -- a satire of the 2000 presidential election campaign.

I don't know about the others, but "Family Values" was from Men of Odyssey, which changed ownership. Some of their titles were rereleased; others not.

nymMEDIA still lists "Family Values" as available:

They have the hardcore version of The Hole too.

Thanks. Your reply set me to surfing, and I found "Family Values" at Gay Video Universe for $12.59. The storyline sounds intriguing, and I think that Kurt Young is cute.
