Apparently X4rent.com is closing down and liquidating its rental inventory. Used DVDs for $4.99 each. The selection isn't wide, but there are several titles that I wouldn't buy for full price but definitely would for five bucks. Then I realized that at my favorite DVD trade-in site, I could get six, seven and even 10 dollars for some titles. Talk about a no-lose proposition. I just ordered 14 discs. If I decide not to keep any, I will have effectively rented them at a profit of roughly $16, after shipping costs. I almost feel guilty. The catch: I think you may have to be a current or former member. If you were, don't miss it. [Link] |

In retrospect, I should have considered that possibility. Oh well. It's a good thing I didn't go nuts and buy a bunch of movies I didn't want, just to sell them (which I considered for a moment).
