As I was watching my favorite Japanese bukkake porn yesterday I realized that most every Japanese porn movie has only one actress/star in them during every single scene! Isn't that strange considering most every american movie has half a dozen or more? Wouldn't it be cheaper to produce a movie with only one VERY popular star? Ok, it wouldn't sell as many copies i'd imagine, but I'd like to see it done more often.
Maybe a company like Evil Angel could do this a few times a year and only for the most popular female star.
It's very rare for me to watch a movie and like every single woman in each scene. Usually it's only 2 or 3 in a movie, if that. A rare exception would be movies like INVASIAN or some ASS WORSHIP titles.
BTW i'm not talking about compilation DVDs. I'd kill to see a movie with Sabrina Maui, Ryan Conner or even August in every single scene.
Also, that one with Gina Lynn was a very good start.
The scenes would be filmed over several days. That means that you can't book a crew and girls, hope the women show, and crank out a movie in a day or two. The added cost of paying for a crew two or three extra days may off set the potential savings. Then again, women are paid by the scene, so there may be no savings. If the woman doesn't show, or isn't vaguely on time, the concept and budget are potentially blown. Only fans will buy. I am like you, I only watch for particular women, so I usually only watch 2 scenes. If the specific star in the movie isn't one that catches my attention, it is off my list. "Best of" compilations don't have these problems, since most the costs are already incurred.
Fair points croy, but if the star is a proven winner, like Taylor Rain or Ariana Jollee, it becomes an instant must-buy for a lot of people to get that film.
Look at Private's LIFE OF line. Each film is great value - two discs with twelve odd scenes, plus in-depth interviews with the girls, all for about 20 bucks on average. Yes, it's compilation material, but I don't own many of the movies, so - who cares? You normally get a good mix of scenes.
Now, imagine if a film is specially created over time with input from the girl - sort of a genuine porn bio-pic rather than just a retrospective, showing the partnership of a director and a star in creating all original material focussed on that girl - that's interesting stuff, and allows even a gonzo film to have some form of artistic/narrative flow as opposed to the episodic nature of gonzo.
A film like this needs to ride on the personality and fucking of the star - but there are many girls in porn who can carry this format of film I feel.
After I saw Buttman's Toy Stories I wrote a couple of times here how I would love to see Buttman shoot a movie with only Tricia Deveraux in it. He could call it "A Week in the Life of Tricia Deveraux" or something. That would be simple awesome, nothing but Tricia shot by The Master himself.
I think the one girl concept would work with certain market tested popular girls. I know there are a few love to see in their own exclusive DVD. Done well enough, with thte right girl, it might prove worth the investment.
I've purchased many adult titles for only the one scene that has one of my favorite porn stars in it. If a title has 2 or more women in it that I'm a fan of, I consider it a bonus!
I'm a big Cindy Crawford fan and many of her JKP titles have her in multiple scenes so that's good. And I like Cytherea's "Squirtwoman" series which has her in EVERY scene.
Other than the "best of" titles, I don't have much choice but to try find titles where a specific girl is in more than one scene.

I like the idea, but obviously it would be a bit of a gamble for the company in making sure they got the right girl to ensure sales. But the concept of one girl in every scene, or at least being part of every scene is cool. You'd be able to involve some setup, kinda like 'Arianna's having bad day', where she just constantly runs into trouble and gets fucked up in all kinds of wonderful ways.
i appreciate this idea because i too buy vids just for one performer, so vids focused on a specific star would save me some bucks. but i don't know how economically feasible it is to the studios.
incidentally, i just picked up Jasmine Lynn's Kick Ass Pictures compilation and it rocks mighty fine. anybody know where i can get a DVD version of A Cum Sucking Whore Named Vanessa Chase?

Compilations are enough for me, I dont need more.
I often do buy a movie just for one girl in it. And I dont mind. On the contrary, it is nice to get maybe positively surprised by the some of other 4-5 scenes featuring a girl I am probabely not yet that familiar with. I spotted quite a few girls worth checking out this way.
Okay... this may seem self-patronizing, but we set up Maxstretch on the theory people did not want downloads that took forever and would like the option of buying only the editions featuring the actresses they liked.
Volume 1 features Lyla Lei and only Lyla Lei with nearly 90 minutes of high resolution DVD video and a second DVD ROM with over 2000 high resolution Jpeg images.

Hi,I think you hit a good point there . Sometimes i thought about "creating" my own "one girl only" DVD. I only would have to "rip" and "cut" thru a couple of dvds in order to collect all the scenes for that "project". It didn´t happen due to my lazzyness. The Problem with the comp dvds is (IMHO) that they never feature the best just the scenes from one or two studios. That´s why i don´t waste any time with comp dvds anymore.

I like the idea of a video with just one woman in it if I like who the one woman is... take Lost Angels : Nikita Denise as an example.
Porn Star compilations are great but finding one that is totally devoted to a single star is hard. Vivid, Wicked, New Machine (Exposed series) and other companies like to throw in a lot of filler (& Friends). The Private Life series is as good as it gets in my opinion.
Apparently A&E are putting out a compilation for Carmen Luvana later this year. 2 exclusive scenes and 8 old ones.
I think a feature with a single star in most if not all the sex scenes would help the film's intensity.
