I haven't encountered a site yet (i.e. that offers 1080 HD and 4k downloads) that doesn't also offer lower resolution downloads for those not wishing to expend the time and/or storage space required for the higher resolution/higher bitrate/larger files (or, for those who simply don't have the hardware and/or internet connection speed to handle larger files). In other words, people have a choice in what they download. It isn't an all-or-nothing proposition. And, YES, a crap video in 1080 HD or 4k is still a crap video. FYI, although I do have hardware and software capable of 4k, I choose to download 1920 x 1080 HD files, as I do not consider the 4k investment in time and storage space to be worth it. As far as some sites with high quality video, you might want to take a look at: Holed.com, Tiny4K.com, Lubed.com and POVD.com. Picture quality on these sites is great, although I should inform you that they tend to use a lot of POV camera work; I like it, but I know not everyone is a fan of that style.  [Link] |

They primariely shoot cinematic scenes and occasionally amateur style stuff with "Real Life" premise with raw footage that looks crisp and shows a lot of slightest details. It's possible to dowload their trailers to see how the quality is - here are some good examples to try out 4K for those who have 4K TV to see its full potential.
