Plus I've been searching the internet and I'm coming up empty. I've got ONE website (Amazon.com) that's not displaying properly in my browser. Last week it was fine. Yesterday (and today) it's ka-blooey. It's like it misidentifies me as another kind of device and loads the wrong style. No graphics and everything's here there and everywhere on my screen. It is virtually unusable. That's the only website where I'm having a problem. Everything else is running normally. I'm running Windows Vista (I know, but I have no choice in this matter). I have four different browsers on my computer (IE9, Firefox, Opera and Chrome) and it's farked-up in all of them, so it appears to be something outside the browser. Everything I've seen on the net suggests clearing the cache. I've gone into IE and cleared the cache. I've cleared the cache in Opera and I think in Chrome (I can never be sure what goes on in Chrome). I've closed and restarted, rebooted, etc. Nothing. Suggestions? I'm going crazy with this. I tried finding the direct path to the temporary internet files folder, but Vista hides it too well. [Link] |

Can't find BestBuy.com now either. I ran a HijackThis log file and found this, which looks funky to me. O22 - SharedTaskScheduler: Component Categories cache daemon - {8C7461EF-2B13-11d2-BE35-3078302C2030} - C:\Windows\system32\browseui.dll Was looking on the web but can't find anything definite. Nothing else on Hijack This looks odd. AVG can't find anything. Anti-Malware finds nothing. Windows Defender finds nothing. CCleaner isn't making any difference. Nothing funky in the HOSTS file. I uninstalled Opera and re-installed from a fresh download. I'm going to uninstall AVG and buy Norton (it gets the best ratings), but I dunno. I'm slow, low and out of ideas. [Link] |

Might explain why some sites like Amazon are partially working, why some (like Netflix) aren't working at all. I've had no luck getting onto the Adobe site to download a fresh copy. I can get to Adobe's front page but it's screwed up--can't get to the download page at all. I get URL errors. Bizarre. I've never seen anything like it.
