According to Toptenreviews the world wide porn business is now worth $97 billion, that's several times what AVN normally claims.
How the hell do they generate $27 billion in China?

I am pleased though that we are mentioned as one of the top producers in the Netherlands
(But seeing as they put Beate Uhse in Russia and looking at their list for the UK, I wonder how drunk they were when they invented these 'facts'...)

Did they define porn as hardcore, or leave it nebulous?
In some countries, a picture of a women in a bikini is porn.

Any way you cut it, porn is a pretty small industry.

I think if you throw in prostitution, toy sales, DVD sales, VOD, Internet websites, phone sex, etc, worldwide sales would pretty much cover that amount.

The best thing that the industry can do is to let it be known that it is actively involved in the fight against child pornography and everything to do with child pornography.

"Women, far more than men, are likely to act out their behaviors in real life, such as having multiple partners, casual sex, or affairs."

And those women would be acting out out those behaviours with whom?

This people are definitely clueless. They list Trimax as the number one German production company. The owner is a very nice guy who still keeps his daytime job as a civil servant.

Would not be surprised if it is close to that number if porn is sex for sell..the American market may be in decline because it became about race while the world market is growing.

Those guys have an agenda all of their statistics are made to scare people off especially pointing out child pornography and the exposure to minors, neither of them is obviously in the legal market so it's all about speculation
they didn't spend a single thought to how many people make a living out of porn , I mean legal porn: Catering, distripution, make up, printing etc
also Beate Uhse in Russia? Seriously?

Was there some point to bumping a thread from 2007 with a link to a magazine article from 2001?
